{Travel} Pittsburgh, PA Day 3: Warhol & Waterfront

We dedicated our last full day in Pittsburgh to sight seeing and being tourists.

Our first stop was the Warhol Museum (this photo was taken in the gift shop).

A young Andy Warhol. He was born in Pittsburgh but this shot is from his early day in NYC.

The museum was pretty fascinating. You started on the top floor, which was the 1950's and worked your way down.

Each floor was a different decade of his life.

This room was portraying some of his time in New York City in the club scene.

My camera captured the colors. You couldn't see them with the naked eye or capture them with a cell phone.

This was a fun interactive room full of balloons you could play with and watch float around. It reminded me of the Jeff Koons exhibit at the Pompidou in Paris.

The museum also featured many works by the artist Ai Weiwei.

This was one of my favorite installations of his work.

It's called With Flowers.

It makes a nice photo backdrop, doesn't it?

After the museum we headed down to the waterfront.

There was a big block party going on and it was a gorgeous day for it.

Another memory of Paris!

We met up with the hubby's cousins again that night for dinner. They were surprised we picked this place but it had a lot of vegetarian and vegan options and it was really good!That's where I tried the Goo Ball for dessert. See my version of it here.
