{Travel} Phoenix 2024 - Part 3 Spa & Concert

It was our last full day in Phoenix and I had another day to myself.

I started my day with a sound bath session.  It was really incredible to be guided through the meditation with different sound bowls and to be in this beautiful setting.
Comfy jumpsuit for the sound bath.

I went to yoga after the sound bath and walked over to the spa.
I had stayed at this resort years ago with my mom and sister.  We all visited the spa and loved it so much. I had to return.  I booked a massage that was amazing!

After my massage I spent the day lounging by the pool at the spa. I had a delicious tofu skewer bowl for lunch.
It was so quiet and peaceful (but I did hear a band sound checking...more on that later).
I read my book and stayed in the shade.
When we were here before there were owls living in the palm trees and we were so enamored by them.  I asked if they were still there and the staff told me that they had been displaced by the hawks (seen above) and not residing in the golf course.
I can never get enough of the gorgeous flowers!
Tonight was the last event and this was my look.
We got to attend a private concert with musicians from Santana, The Romantics and Loverboy!  (That was the soundcheck I was hearing and they played all of their hits!)

It was such a blast and so much fun!   My favorite part was when Mike Reno (our new friend...lol) sang Almost Paradise with his wife Catherine St. Germaine.  They sounded so good together.

I also got to meet one of my online friends IRL!  Hey Sam!!
I know I look pretty happy here but I did not want to leave Phoenix. It was such a wonderful trip!

{Travel} Phoenix 2024 Part 2-Pool Day and Meeting a Rock Star!

I'm back with our Phoenix trip, you can catch up with part 1 of the trip here. After my morning wellness walk I spent the day at the lovely pool.

I pretty much had the whole pool to myself and couldn't decide if I liked the pool view...
...or the lake view better.

I settled on the pool for awhile.  There were a few lizards keeping me company and I also saw my first road runner. He was QUICK!

I walked over to the infinity hot tub and spent some time in there.

Selfie, or it didn't happen!
I love eating pool side and these quesadillas were so good!
I walked back to my room through the hotel grounds. I could not get enough of the desert landscape and flora.
Cacti and palm trees, yes please!
The evening view from our room.
I got ready and then headed down to the event.
This was a western themed night and there were some interesting performers. I was enthralled by this bronze man. Truly amazing!

Oh yeah, we met a rock star!!   Mike Reno from Loverboy and his wife were at the event.  It was such a thrill to meet them. We told him we were at his show this past summer and he couldn't have been nicer or more down to earth!  It was definitely a cool moment for us!!

{Travel} Phoenix 2024 - Part 1

In case you missed my last Halloween post, I'm backtracking a bit to cover the whole year on my blog.  We took a quick business trip to Phoenix in October...well I tagged along on Mr. Click's business trip.

We left on a Sunday morning and this was my travel outfit.  I slept in heatless  socks curls so my hair was nice and bouncy!  Do you make your bed before you leave for a trip? I don't think I could leave if I didn't!
I had some vegan ramen for lunch at the airport and it was pretty good!  The flight was uneventful- the way we like it!
What a view from our room!
We had a corporate event that evening and I had some time to relax, unpack and get ready for it.
There were lots of food stations, entertainment and Native American art tables and speakers throughout the event.
We got to see some really impressive dancing and performances.  I headed to bed pretty early. I'm always tired on a travel day.
The next morning I was on my own and attended a hotel wellness walk.
It was a beautiful morning and the grounds of the hotel were stunning.
We stopped to feed the resident koi fish.
It's always fun to watch them eat and swim around.
It was such a scenic walk and it was nice to learn about the area and the landscape.
Our walk ended in the gorgeous JW Garden.
Here's a little clip of me with the hummingbirds. We could put on rings with hummingbird food in the center and they would come right over to us to drink it.
I grabbed a still shot from the video and you can get a better view of the hummingbird.
This scary looking guy was there to ward off the wild javelinas and other creatures at night.
The garden had a lot of edible treats and we were allowed to sample some of them.
We also each picked manifestation card at the end of our walk. This was mine.
