November Wrap Up

I cannot believe it is December-flippin'-first! Where did this year go? Here's a quick wrap up of my November.

I voted!

Willow says "what's up dog"?

Got my first holiday coffee.

Started to do some Christmas decorating.

We had this staircase replaced. What a glow up!

Tried a new-to-us place with Detroit style pizza. Yum!

The first (and only) flower on my Christmas cactus.

We had a smaller group for Thanksgiving this year (and missing City Girl 2--but we got to see later that weekend).

Mr. Click had his last gig of the year.

I finished this book.

I saw my first bald eagle out in the wild--right across the street from my house! It was such a thrill. I hope they come back --there were two circling around our houses. How was your November? Have you ever seen a bald eagle?

Thrifting Lately

I've been thrifting again and think I've been on a roll lately.

I was looking for some t-shirts for my walks and found quite a few!

I really like this Universal Thread striped tee, it's got such a retro Brady Bunch vibe to it.

I wore the Johnny Cash t-shirt when we went to see Mr. Click's band in this post.

On another thrifting trip I found a second Universal Thread striped t-shirt (also pictured above) and this gingham Old Navy romper.

Trying it on the dressing room first of course!

They were also selling some potted flowers for $1/each. This was in pretty sad shape when I got it but it has bounced back since I repotted it !

I also did an order with Thred Up which is an online thrift store. Here's what I got:

1) a romper/cover up 2) a dress 3)Rag & Bone off the shoulder top 4) embroidered striped top. I was pretty happy with my order. The dress is a little more winter-y than I expected but I'll wear it later in the year.

I found a few things (two dresses and a jumpsuit) that will be good for vacation on another thrifting trip.

This week I found a pink gingham Universal Thread top (I wore it to the Barbie movie..so good!), striped Madewell t-shirt, cute kitty t-shirt and some books (one for me and two for Mr. Click).

Life Lately

A bit of my life lately...

The deck was looking pretty and we had our first fire in the fire pit.

City Girl 2 was home for a weekend and we went to see Mr. Click's band. #imshort

We had our first s'mores of the summer. Have you tried them with the Reeses' Cup Thins and Ritz Crackers? So good!

Another critter friend on my walk. Hello there!

This critter was not happy about me packing for a trip. City Girl #1 broke her foot and also needed a minor mouth surgery so we went into the city to help out.

We stayed at the lovely Indigo Hotel.

We stopped at CG 2's apartment first and I got some time with this cutie.

We had dinner at a cool restaurant in Williamsburg and it started to pour. We were in the greenhouse so we didn't get wet but it felt very tropical.

We stopped at Blackseed Bagels for breakfast.

It was my first pumpernickel everything bagel. Yum!

A Quiet (and Productive) Memorial Day Weekend

We didn't have any plans for Memorial Day weekend so we had a bit of a staycation and also got things done around the house.

The weather was beautiful and we took a drive to Lambertville, New Jersey.

We had lunch at Local Greek for the first time. We would definitely go back.

We walked over to New Hope, PA just across the bridge and did some browsing in this vintage shop.

Back in Lambertville, we stopped at Chez Alice Patisserie. The pastries all looked amazing but we were still too full from lunch so we just ordered coffee.

We wanted to work on the deck and it needed a good cleaning. Sweeping, leaf blowing and finally power washing. There was so much pollen! We had to replace some of our solar string lights as well.
