{DIY} No-Sew Dollar Tree Canvas Bag Pillow

This project is super quick and easy and requires no sewing!

Do you remember this cute canvas bag from my Dollar Tree haul?

I loved it as a bag but I thought it would make an even cuter pillow.

I ironed it and tucked the handles inside in case I want to use it as a bag again. I folded down the top into the bag to make the size pillow that I wanted  and ironed a seam to keep it folded down. I plumped it up with some Poly-fil stuffing and used fusible web (iron on stitching) to close it up.
I think it looks nice outside on the deck.
But I also love it on my "famous" blue chair.   What do you think?

{Field Trip} Penn Museum

A few Sundays ago we went to the Penn Museum in Philly.
It's an archeology and anthropology museum that is part  of the University of Pennsylvania.
It was a little bit rainy so it was a good day for a museum visit.
We pretty much  had  the museum to ourselves that morning.
This Colossal Statue of a Sphinx greets you as you enter and is their unofficial mascot.

We had been to the museum a few times before but it all felt new again.
They have over a million artifacts from Asia, Africa, the Americas and the Mediterranean.
The museum was founded in 1887!
The beautiful courtyard.

A quick selfie as we were leaving.
We had brunch at  The White Dog  Cafe. I hadn't been there since my college graduation.

It was just as good as I remembered and the dog themed decor was so fun!

Favorite Health & Beauty Products

I've been trying some new (to me) products and here are some of my favorites.

We've switched over to natural toothpaste and I found this one (and the brushes) at TJ Maxx.  It's got a nice minty taste but not too overpowering.
This hairspray has been great and doesn't leave my hair feeling stiff or tacky.  I love the fresh coconut scent of the dry shampoo.
I really don't enjoy washing my face but I don't mind a cleansing balm. This one from elf is very moisturizing and I remove it with a warm wash cloth. No more splashing my face and sleeves!
I was trimming my own hair but have since gotten a professional cut. This is the hair color I've ben using.

I treated myself to some new makeup from Tarte. I love their packaging.

I got two of their palettes and it's been fun to experiment and try new looks with them. I also got some concealer and brow powder.

More Costco Finds

I keep discovering new things at Costco and had to share!

I don't know if this coffee is new but  seeing  "roasted by  Starbucks"  sure got our attention. It is just like Starbucks House Blend. We can grind it at the store and it's a great deal!
We've  gotten Dave's  Killer Bread (the green bag) here before but we've been loving this  thin sliced version too. It has lots of healthy seeds on the crust.
I thought I would try these chocolate chips the next time I bake.
This  touchscreen door lock was a great find.
Costco  is a great place to  buy towels and sheets.  We've  gotten the towels for our  daughters and sheets for all of us.
This  produce keeper looked like a great idea.
I get frozen cauliflower rice at Costco but it's also nice to have the shelf  stable  packets. You can up your veggie game by sneaking it into savory dishes.

This Kirkland rosé is well reviewed and delicious!
Julie found this adorable top at Costco and then I saw it on a You-tuber and checked to see if my store had it.  It is my new favorite top. It's got a light waffle weave and it's soooo soft and comfy!   It comes in a peachy/orange combo as well but I liked this one better.
I picked up Knock Out Rose bush and went back for another one the following week. They usually do well in my garden and we needed some color out there.

What have you found lately at Costco?

{Things Loved} Lately

Here are some things I've been  loving lately...

The first iced tea of the season.
I usually drink black coffee but sometimes I like to froth these Nutpod creamers and add them to my coffee.
They make the best foam!
These Sumo oranges were so good!
I loved this elderberry tea, I need another box!
I trimmed and colored my hair out of desperation (could not reach my stylist). I was pretty  pleased with the results!
I got my first  pedicure in a year and a half.
We found this coffee when we were visiting City Girl.   I like how each variety supports a different social  project.
We  had charcuterie board dinner one night. What have you been loving lately?

Dollar Tree Bonanza - Part 2

I'm back with Part 2 of my  Dollar Tree Bonanza. Click here for  Part 1.

Margaritas, anyone? These glasses looked and felt like great quality.
There was a big selection of glassware.
I used to have glasses like this I loved them with their practical lids.
In the pet section that had 60 pet waste bags for $1!
I love the organizing section and always check to see what's new.

I've seen the shower organizers used in the kitchen and other rooms around the house.
This bowl had a nice look and feel!

In the pantry section they had some smaller bags of baking supplies which would be great for a college kid or someone who doesn't do a lot of baking.
I also thought these fun sized bags of cereal were a good  idea.
Have you seen the floor care essentials section? You can customize a broom, mop, microfiber floor cleaner and duster.
Some of the spring/summer dish towels.
I went in there for ice cube trays..thank goodness I remembered!

The Rubbermaid food storage items seem like a great deal.
Some pet related placemats.
Some more dish towels.
I picked up this seasoning, it's a good  one!
Some cute glassware for a bachelorette party.

I've used the placemats as fridge coasters for years. I picked up a few in the blue pattern as well.
This platter was so pretty, I had to get one. I thought it would be great for potlucks or  cookie trays,
I've seen some DIY's with the paper towel holders and napkin holders like this.

DIY Paper Towel Holder

I also found some  huge planters...
and huge margarita glasses.
This sign was in home decor and so cute.
I also picked up the blue truck welcome sign for summer.  If you're still here, thank you for sticking with me through this super long post!
