1)Who is your oldest friend? How did you meet? 

I've reconnected with a few childhood friends on Facebook but I still see two of my oldest friends that I met in middle school.  

2)Tell us about your circle of support? Who are your people?

We have supportive families on both sides and some great friends too.

3)How did you meet your partner?

We met in high school at a party. We went to different high schools so it was through mutual friends.

4)How is Valentine's Day celebrated in your house?

A special meal with the family that night.  Mr. Click always bought all three of us bouquets when the girls lived at home. Now I send them little gifts and cards.  I still like to decorate for Valentine's Day.

5)What is your love language?

I think it's a tie between words of affirmation and acts of service.

6)Do you prefer receiving flowers or chocolates?

Flowers always!

7)What is the most meaningful gift you have ever given or received or have given?

That's easy, my kids!

Loving Lately

Here are some of my favorite things lately,....

Someone gave us this candle at our open house party and I love it so much! It smells like my favorite Anthropologie candle.

I snapped this to send to College Girl. It was the only carry cup that I could use my new glass straws in (I've since bought a new age appropriate one that works as well).

{Random} Things I Ate & Wore - December Edition

December has come and gone and sure there were lots of Christmas cookies and holiday meals but there were also some other good eats.  I also chose to photograph some of my outfits along the way.

But first, coffee!

 Our neighbors made too many churros (is there such a thing?) and asked if we wanted some hot, fresh, chocolate filled churros. Ummm yes please!?

 Avocado toast has been on pretty constant rotation around here. Or avocado pita in this case. My favorite way to eat it is with tomatoes and hemp seeds.

 I made these Coconut Oil Blueberry Scones with Rosemary for my book club.

 Starbucks cup fail!

 We had some really warm days, tank top walking weather.

 Liking my outfit this day.

 Homemade latkes and Crock Pot Applesauce.

There's that avocado toast again.

I made a big pot of my Vegetarian Italian Wedding No-Chicken Orzo Soup. I thought I had a post for this recipe but I can't find it. Must do this!

 Christmas Eve outfit.  It was way too warm for the sweater dress I was planning to wear.

 We had dinner at Memphis Tap Room when we were on this adventure  and started with beer, of course.

 Our appetizers were Chicken Fried Cauliflower and Hefe-Weizen Hummus Plate (both vegan).

 My dinner was this spaghetti sandwich (lentil meatballs, marinara and vegan mozzarella plus spaghetti, spaghetti IN the sandwich!!!).  So good!

{Random} Wrapping up November

I've been jumping all over the place on the blog lately but I realized I hadn't done an Insta-November post for all of my random Iphone pics.  You may have seen some of them in my Project 365 or if you follow me on Instagram @heather_ourlife but hopefully you'll still indulge me and my tardiness.

 I made lasagna stuffed peppers with veggie sausage and spinach.

 Worked at the high school's campus store. Always fun to see the girls!  (It was a slow day).

 Some birthday treats..new booties and shirt from Anthropologie (bought with  my birthday coupon!).

 A dessert Mr. Click and I shared, I can't remember what it was but it was chocolatey and delicious.
