Early Halloween Shopping at IKEA

 I know, I know...it's too early to think about Halloween! It was even earlier when I placed this Ikea order for some Halloween decor.

I just couldn't resist and I was pretty sure it would sell out early.   I also didn't know when I would be getting to an Ikea.

I love this little lantern with a kitty on one side....

...and a ghost on the other. 

 I'm a sucker for anything cat related!  I thought the pillow was a cover...oops!! but that's ok. It's not too big and I'm using it now since it only screams cat lady.

I needed a few other practical items so that was my excuse *cough cough* for ordering some whimsical decor.   I love these shelves and those fold down hooks will come in handy.  I am getting excited about fall decorating and of course, Halloween but these new decorations will have to wait.

Belated Halloween 2024

 Happy New Year and Welcome 2025!

My face when I realized I never posted about our Halloween costumes and it's already the New Year!

We were inspired by the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice movie this year.

It was fun dressing up and giving out candy in our new neighborhood.

Our neighbors had the perfect set up for this photo!

We also visited a local haunted house.

We weren't allowed to take videos or photos inside but I snapped a few of their creative outdoor displays.

The couple who hosted the haunted house have been doing it for 20 years and were ready to retire so I'm glad we got to see it for the last time!

Harvest Fest, Halloween & Happy Thanksgiving!

 Fall is flying by and Thursday is Thanksgiving here in the states. I've been busy getting ready but wanted to do a quick post.

We went to a local Harvest Fest recently and loved walking through the neighborhood looking at all of the Halloween decorations.

The fest was crowded and full of vendors and shoppers.

Even a Leaf Lady.

The town looked so charming....

...except for this creepy clown who sang and talked when you walked by.  It was terrifying!  I had some video of him on my Instagram Stories.

Mr. Click and I did a quick Halloween costume this year just for fun.

We were inspired by this shot from the movie "It's a Wonderful Life".  How did we do?

Later that day we donned some headbands and bundled up to watch the neighborhood kids parade and give out candy.

We hung out with some neighbors) when it got dark and enjoyed their fire pit to end the weekend.

Loving Lately

 What's this? A rare Friday post! Here's what I've been loving lately.

A few of my mums popped up in the garden in my favorite mum color!

I got this awesome L'Occitane Advent calendar from my sister for my birthday.

My birthday was in October so I opened it up in that month. So many skincare goodies!

We voted early for the first time.

I thought this sign was funny while we were waiting to vote.

Some Amazon finds: These Goodthreads jeans and cozy sweater.

We missed getting dressed up for Halloween the last two years so we decided to throw some costumes together with things we already owned that afternoon.

All we needed to do was print out the logo for his hat and we were set.  We amused ourselves. #asif  What have you been loving lately?

Target Dollar Spot Got Me (Again!)

I wasn't ready to pull out all of my fall decor yet but stopping at the Target Dollar Spot gave me a few new pieces to bring a little fall into the house.

It was this grey truck full of pumpkins that really got me! I also picked a larger green foam pumpkin and a tiny ceramic dark blue pumpkin.  Last year I started adding some green and grey to the fall decorations so I knew this new stuff  would continue the trend.

 It was just enough for me to bring a little dose of fall into the kitchen!

Dollar Tree-in' Again

I hit up the Dollar Tree again and there were so many good finds, I just had to share!

They still had a lot of Halloween decorations available and this sign almost came home with me.

Their Christmas stuff was already out and they keep adding more. If you read my blog post yesterday, you saw the black and white fleece scarves on my kitchen table acting as runners.  I also saw a cute DIY for Christmas stockings made with the scarves.

{A Little Holiday Decor}

These mini trees came in green and white.

The ribbon selection was awesome!

Mini disco ball ornaments!

The Christmas florals looked really nice and realistic this year.

Pretty!

The gift bags and boxes were really impressive.

I really liked this reindeer gift bag...again with the buffalo check!

I came home with some of this plaid ribbon.

I didn't know that DT had mini canvases.

These are great for kids' paintings.

This nautical rope in the craft section could be used in some cute projects.

I've been reading about some of the benefits of using Irish Spring around the house so I picked up a few boxes.

I loved these clear mugs and they are a good size too.

Ceramic ramekins!

The charger plates are back and I really like the silver tone.

I picked up the traditional Crostini crackers and boy are they good!

These tea light candle holders look like they could be used all year round.

Finally, I noticed that they carry really cute thank you note packs--for a DOLLAR, people! I picked these up for my birthday thank you notes.
