Thanksgiving 2025

 We had a lovely Thanksgiving and here are some bits of the day.

City Girl #2 assembled this gorgeous charcuterie for us.

I made a small batch of my stuffing for our mini meal later in the weekend.

{Photography} Fall Photoshoot

I got to photograph these cuties(our niece and nephews) for a fun fall photoshoot. 

Photographing three kiddos 4 and under is definitely a challenge.

I had a team behind me trying to get smiles and giggles out of this trio.  Here are some of my favorite shots.

It's such an honor to capture this moment in time with these special kiddos!

Happening & Loving Lately

In no particular order, this is what's been happening/I've been loving lately.

I painted the inside of our front door in the same color as our kitchen island, Sea Cliff Heights by Benjamin Moore. It really brightens up this little spot

I didn't love this, but we had our heating and a/c systems replaced.  This was our disgusting, old furnace so it was badly needed.

We also replaced our old fence.  It looks pretty bad when it's all stacked up like this.

The new one is a major improvement.

We celebrated my birthday with the girls at a local-ish restaurant. They took the ferry over from NYC for the first time and loved it.

One of the neighboring towns was the location for filming Netflix's The Four Seasons-season 2.    This is Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani filming a scene.

It was so cool to see it being shot and to see all of the equipment, people, etc.

These guys were the stand-ins for the above actors. 

The day after my birthday dinner we were expecting a pretty bad storm. We got a lot of wind and some rain.

Going out to breakfast at a new to us place.

My mother in law made me this beautiful and intricate bouquet of money roses for my birthday.

Speaking of roses, we had some late blooming knockout roses in the garden that I cut and brought inside.

Adding a little fall decor to the island.

This house had the coolest silhouettes in their windows for Halloween. It was incredible! 

City Girl #2 and I saw Wicked For Good last night and I can't stop thinking about it!

Loving Lately...

What I've been loving lately...

These Halloween pj's from Walmart.  They are so soft and perfect for right now when it's been pretty warm. I love the cute cat print.

My orchid bloomed! I've had a few orchids for over a year and one has just re-bloomed for the first time!  Any tips would be appreciated!

I made the easiest pumpkin chocolate chip bars for one of our Sunday Fundays and they were gobbled up. Recipe coming soon.

Loving the early entry perk for executive members at Costco. We can enter at 9 am and we're out of there by 9:30 when the rest of the members are arriving.

This Honeycrisp Apple kombucha is SO good!

My pedicure before our trip to Kauai.

Discovering new places for breakfast.  This looks so beachy!

We like to order a pancake for the table to try them out.

I was craving my Vegan Chickpea Tuna and made it for a Sunday Funday.  Everybody loved it!

We also grilled up a lot of fresh produce that we were given.

I added these burgundy leaves from Aldi to my early fall decorating.

And I always love seeing this face!

ALDI Finds Late Summer/Early Fall

I've been having fun recapping our Kauai trip but I'm taking a little break from that to share these fun FALL ALDI finds.

I was there last week and it was like fall had exploded all over the store.  

I picked up one of the fleece throws in plaid and a floral pick of burgundy leaves (seen in the corner of the photo).

I just discovered this high protein milk (a Fairlife dupe) that is extra creamy too.

These are a dupe for the Banza or Goodles high protein mac & cheese products. Have you tried them?

These are tasty!

The fall themed food was stocked.

It made me happy to see it all.

It was evident in every aisle.

There were some heavily marked down clearance items like this hot sauce.

This popcorn was $0.89 and a hit at a recent get together.

Both of these ranch dressings were only $0.35. I got the jalapeno ranch and it is spicy!

I have been burning this candle and loving it.

These glasses are so pretty.

There were a lot of organizational items.

I was tempted by this glass pumpkin dome with wood base but restrained myself.

Mixed in with rechargeable sonic toothbrushes.

These flameless candles are so pretty.

These pumpkin bakers were adorable.

They came in a smaller size too.

And this tea pot really got me!  I'm sad that summer is ending but we still have a few more weeks to enjoy the warmer days and to look forward to my favorite season...FALL!  Are you excited about fall?
