{Travel}Family Trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico - Day 1

I was going to do our Mexico trip all in one post but it's too overwhelming so I'm going to break it down by days(at least that's the plan right now). 

A family trip with just the four of us has been a goal of mine for years and it finally happened!  Day 1 is always a long day of travel so this post will have fewer photos as I didn't take too many.  We met the girls at Newark Airport and had breakfast after we got through security. Our flight was slightly delayed but before we knew it, we were landing in beautiful Mexico.  

The Cancun Airport is crazy and chaotic but we found our car service pretty easily and they whisked us off to the resort (about a 25 minute drive).  We were greeted with champagne.  Vacation mode activated!

We stayed at the same resort that Mr. Click and I had stayed at last summer because we liked it so much and knew what to expect.

This time we stayed in swim up suites and I had my own kitty welcoming committee on our patio. I think Nessa sent me some friends.

We had lunch while we waited for our rooms to be ready then headed to the pool after settling into our rooms.   The rest of the afternoon was spent at the main pool.

Our dinner reservation was at 9:45pm(after being up since 4:00am-ish) so coffee was definitely needed later in the day.  I loved sitting out on our patio watching everyone walk by on their way to dinner.

I wore my thrifted jumpsuit to dinner that night.  We decided to head over to dinner a little earlier than our reservation and they were able to seat us.   Yay!

We ate at Santa Fe and celebrated Mr. Click's birthday with some yummy desserts while everyone in the restaurant sang to him.  After dinner we were all exhausted and ready to head back to our rooms for the night.

Sweet Nessa

We had to say goodbye to our sweetest girl Nessa last month.  It's still hard to talk(write) about and I miss her every day.

The house is just not the same without her and the pitter patter of her little paws on the wood floors as she'd come visit me on the couch. 💔  She was the gentlest kitty and loved her soft nap spots and sunny windows. Her sister Willow seems to be doing fine and I'm grateful for that.  Give your fur-babies an extra hug from me today!

Friday Favorites-Summer Edition

Happy Friday! Here are some of my favorites lately.

Some of my summer reading. Both of these books were recommended on TikTok and I took them on vacation with me.  They are both kind of mysterious without being too frightening.

I forget where I heard about this book but I enjoyed it. It's a light romance about a ghost writer who sees ghosts. I just finished this one.

Trust Your Gut (Mauve Nude Pink)

I tried a Maybelline Super Stay Ink Crayon Lipstick and I liked it so much, I got another color. They really do last!

 Break the Ceiling (RoseyPink)

My garden has been doing pretty well this year.  I planted some flower seeds in some pots and also in the vegetable garden and it's been fun to see them grow and bloom.

I've also enjoyed bringing in some bouquets from the garden.  Does anyone remember this old post Chalk Painted Mason Jars?

I've been trying out overnight heatless curl methods. A robe belt is my preferred curling "instrument" but  I also purchased a different one that I like as well.

What to wear to a Christmas in July party.

We went to a fun Christmas In July Party. They really did up the theming and it was so cute!

These have been my summer nails. They are gel stickers but don't need a uv light to cure them.  (I found them at Target).

I saw this cute needlepoint at a local restaurant and I love it!

Summer Amazon Prime Purchases

My Amazon cart has been filling up lately.  Here are some of my summer Prime purchases.

pool float

We got these for a trip to Mexico(post coming soon). They were so easy to pack and take with us. They didn't take up much room in our bags either.

towel bands

I also got these for the trip to hold our towels onto our lounge chairs.  Bonus-they were great for wrapping up the floats at the end of the day too.

bug repellent stick

I didn't end up needing this stick but it was perfect for travel and I'm sure we'll use it during buggy times.

cluster lashes

I'm not very talented with applying false lashes but these little cluster lashes make it easier to apply. They come with adhesive on them so you just have to apply them under your natural lashes. They are 24 hour lashes but I've had them last a few days.

waterproof phone pouch

We also picked up these for our trip. They did keep my phone and cash dry in the pool.

pillowcases

We needed some new pillowcases so this set of two king sized ones were perfect.

throw pillow covers (black)

I got these pillow covers to freshen up our sectional.

tank tops (white & hot pink)

I liked this tank so much, I got it in two colors.

sweater (beige)

I'd been looking for an open crochet sweater and this one fit the bill. It's a great summer weight.

camera remote

I needed a remote for my new camera and I picked this one up on Prime day.

{Shopping} Latest Costco Finds

It's been awhile since I've done a Costco post.  Here's what I've been finding recently.  

 I had been looking for these Reeses Dipped Animal Crackers ever since I saw someone post them on TikTok.  Score!  It's a huge bag so I'm keeping it in the freezer.

We get these ciabatta rolls pretty regularly. We also freeze half of the bag when we get home.

Mr. Click likes these bacon bits. The bag lots a long time (we also keep the extra in the freezer!). 

I've been on a salmon kick lately and my BS (Brilliant Sister) recommended the tzatziki sauce to go with them.  Yummy!

You might remember this set of body wash and scrubs that I was considering from my last Costco post and I did end up getting it. I'm loving it, especially the rose water and sea salt one.

I picked up these camo joggers, I needed a new pair.

They had my favorite  Pacific Trail work out shorts in stock so I got a pair of black ones.

I also picked up another rash guard because they were marked down to $4.

I also found these super soft joggers. I had seen there was a Vurori jogger dupe at Costco and these were the ones!  They are so comfy, lightweight and soft and perfect for traveling.  I ended up going back and returning the camo joggers and got two more pairs of these awesome joggers.
