I've picked up a few summer things for myself and thought I'd share my finds. The top and pants are from J Crew Factory.

{Photography} College Graduate

There have been some exciting happenings in our family lately...proms, graduations and college graduations.

I was so fortunate to get to photograph my niece on her college campus a few days before she graduated.

We had the perfect day and the campus was just beautiful!

We had fun walking around the quiet campus and finding spots (so many) for the perfect photo.

Time to celebrate!

This shot was one of our favorites!  I love how she decorated her cap.

{Review & Giveaway} Kellyn Makeup Readers

Disclaimer: I was given a pair of glasses to review, but all opinions are mine.

Readers.com reached out to me to test out their Kellyn Makeup Reader glasses.  I have to use reading glasses now for reading small print so I guess I was a good candidate.

 They look a little odd but once you realize how you're meant to use them, they make sense.  The magnified lens swivels back and forth so you can see the eye you are applying makeup to more clearly.  The lightweight plastic frames have a fun tortoise print.

I didn't have great success with the glasses because I don't need magnification to put on my eye makeup...yet!   I'm sure they'll come in handy in the future.  In the meantime, Readers.com is giving one of my readers a pair of the Kellyn Makeup Reader glasses so you can try them out for yourself.  Please leave a comment below and make sure you leave your email so I can get in touch with the winner. Lemon Obsessed

I've had a thing for lemons lately.  I like to cut them up and add them to my water so I keep a stash of fresh lemons around.

 The lemon bowl and plate are both from this Dollar Tree trip.

 I got this Lemon Verbena candle at Bath & Body and even though the candle is gone I still love the container.  I pop a tea light in there and get the same glow.

 The towels and pot holder are also from Dollar Tree and I think they complete my kitchen look (and me).

 I haven't stopped at home decor with my lemon love either.

I found these lemon print shorts at H & M and I love them!

Latest Dollar Tree Finds

It's been awhile since I've done a Dollar Tree haul.

 I didn't even wait until I got home to try these Apple Cinnamon Baked Puffs!

 To fend off the bugs out on the deck this summer I'm going to try out their Skeeter Beeter candles and Cintronella Insense Sticks.

 I went into the store looking for some of these lemon accessories.  They are really nice quality.

I also picked up some Popcorners and Mandarin Orange Cups (for my Copycat Panera Strawberry Poppyseed Chk'n Salad).

 All of these cleaning products had very good reviews so I'm trying them out (I've used Magic Erasers before but this was the first time I saw them at DT).

This little First Aid Kit will be perfect for travel or for college students.

{The Deck} New Furniture For The Deck

I've been talking about this new deck furniture and it's time to finally show it off.

 I had been looking online for a new set and while at Target over Memorial Day weekend we saw this set in person (and it was on sale!).

The two end chairs swivel and there's a bench plus two more arm chairs.

 It's pretty similar in design to our new kitchen table, what can I say? I like what  I like.  I didn't want a tile topped table again or a glass table or a wood table, so black metal was the clear choice.

The set online had aqua cushions but I prefer the linen color.

We're still arranging and deciding how to style the rest of the deck.

 I treated the cushions with Scotchgard and we're storing them in a deck box.

 The back part  of our deck needed a few chairs too and I found these 'motion' seats from the same line as our dining set.

 I had to order them online since they weren't in any local  stores.

 They are super comfy and stylish too.  The motion feature is a slight glide so the chairs have some give as you're sitting in them.

I'm looking forward to sitting out here and enjoying the deck and new furniture this summer (now if it would stop raining!).

{Travel} Memorial Day Weekend-Music, Boating and Furniture

Memorial Day weekend this year was one of our better ones. The weather was perfect and we had lots of fun things on the agenda.

Our weekend started with a concert at a local casino on Friday night.

 This was my concert going outfit. Comfy!

It was our first time seeing a show there and we loved it.

We saw Sammy Hagar and  The Circle. He always puts on an amazing show!!  The man is 71 years old and can still sing his heart out!

On Saturday we weren't planning on it, but went to check out some new furniture  for the deck.  We bought a dining set and I couldn't wait to get it home.

Here's a sneak peek. I immediately put our other set of deck furniture up for sale on Facebook Marketplace and had multiple buyers wanting it.

On Sunday we were invited to the shore to go on our cousin's new boat.

We were the first people to get to ride in the new boat too!  Maiden Voyage!

 It was such a relaxing day and so much fun to boat around the bay.

 I could get used to this!

Isn't this gorgeous? We even saw some dolphins!

We docked at a restaurant for lunch, now that's the L•I•F•E!

 I enjoyed a lovely frosé cocktail with my veggie tacos.

Our wonderful hosts! 

We stopped at the Ocean City boardwalk for dinner on our way home and went to my favorite place, The Bashful Banana. 

We had to get back to sell our furniture on Monday.  We grilled out and enjoyed the new deck furniture. I also lit my American Flag Jar Luminaries.  

They are still looking pretty good. How was your Memorial Day Weekend?  It feels like it was so long ago already!
