 I had the privilege of photographing this handsome guy over the summer.

Of course it felt like THE hottest day of the year but he was a cool customer.

He's definitely a pro at this whole modeling thing....

...and a professional actor to boot!

But we know him as one of the sweetest, kindest most amazing kids around!!

He was such a good sport and I think he actually enjoyed his session.

I know I did!

Another Dollar Tree Solar Light Project

 I was so happy with how my Quick Dollar Tree Solar Light Fix worked out, that I decided to try another project.

I picked up six more solar lights from Dollar Tree and gathered up six of these mini candle lanterns (also from DT).

The stakes easily pop off and the light can be used on its own.

They fit perfectly into a mason jar for tabletop displays.

I wanted hanging lights so I used these candle lanterns that had handles.  I used a little hot glue to  hold the lights in place.I hung them up with some floral wire across the top of the deck.

Now we've got more solar glow out there at night!

Our New Addition - Meet Apollo

 We have a new member of our family!

City Girl adopted a kitten and we're all smitten.  His name is Apollo and we're obsessed with his tiny-ness!

  He loves exploring...

and playing with his favorite snake toy.

He also loves his human.

He's so adorable!

We were so lucky to get a little time with him before they moved back to Brooklyn.

We're looking forward to lots of visits, playtime and snuggles with our new grand kitty!

{Things Loved} July

 It's hard to believe we're already two weeks into August.  The summer is suddenly flying by!  Here's what I was loving in July.

My first sunflower bloomed!

I finally got back into reading and loved this book.

City Girl taught herself how to crochet so I'd find her creations all over the living room.

She also turned the dining room into a mask making space.

I have so many pretty masks now!

Speaking of City Girl, she brought home a bottle of Prosecco when she moved here in March and we decided to wait and drink it when she moved back to NYC.  We had celebratory Aperole Spritz's on her last night here.

I just liked the label on this wine bottle.

College Girl and I finally got our hair done at our stylist's house.  It felt so good to have it cut!

Farmers' Market

*This is my first post with the new Blogger and it's taking a little getting used to. I'm still not getting comments sent directly to my email. Do you know how to fix this?*

We checked out our local farmers' market one Saturday and we all loved it.  It's the same one we went to last year but in a bigger space now.

It's something we could all do together and could still be socially distant. The market was spaced very well and there were signs about social distancing and wearing a mask. 

It wasn't packed with people but it looked like the vendors were doing well.

How gorgeous is this eggplant?

Of course we had to take a selfie.

We came home with these sunflowers and they lasted almost two weeks. Here's the rest of our purchases: kombucha, kombucha beer, coffee beans, pickles, an Italian eggplant, Kirby cucumbers, blueberries and a vegan berry crumble. 

It was such a fun outing. I love supporting local businesses and getting out with the family on a beautiful day.

Birthday Beach Day

We celebrated Mr. Click's birthday like we usually do...with his favorite white chocolate chip fruit tart (note the quarantine hair before the haircut!).   

 He requests it every year and we only have it in July (when summer fruits are at their peak!).

This year we also took a day off and went to the beach.

 These bathing beauties came along so it was a great family day!

 Our umbrella set up--we all want to be in the shade.  We had to rent one umbrella so we could all stay safely out of the sun if we wanted to. Our floral umbrella has seen better days!

 This was our 2nd beach trip of the season.  I even put lipstick on for this shot.

 A great Snapchat filter helps too.

I also got my favorite cold brew with oatmilk as an afternoon treat.  We had a perfect beach day and I can't wait to go back!
