Target's Fall Decor

I always get swoony when I see the new fall decor at Target.

 Of course I didn't need a thing but it's fun to look.

 I love seeing the products displayed in a room type setting.

 Those warm colors get me!

 There was some Thanksgiving merch too.

 These mugs from Hearth and Home were nice and chunky.

 I thought these signs were great too.

 Some neutrals...

 Those blue/green vases!

 You could go fall crazy there.

 I restrained myself but the Dollar Spot got me.

{Tips & Tricks}Online Mattress Moving Tip/Trick

Have or ordered one of the many mattress options out there being sold online?  They are so convenient because they are delivered  right to your door. We ordered our Nectar mattress over a year ago and still love it.  If you remember, the king size  mattress  was  delivered looking like this and was taller than Mr. Click at 6'2". 

Around the same time City Girl was moving to another apartment #havelostcount and needed a new mattress so we ordered her a queen size.  It's fairly easy to get it into a space but what happens when it's time to move it to a new place? Especially one that has five narrow flights of stairs.  I was picturing lots of "PIVOT"!! 

(Fun thing:  Google Ross Geller and click on the little sofa under his name).

These mattresses are heavy and big and we were worried about moving hers.  Luckily she found this video on youtube that gave us hope.

Their trick was to put the mattress into a plastic mattress bag (available to UHaul stores and places like Home Depot for under $10)  then seal it up with packing tape and remove the air back out of it with a vacuum cleaner.   For more  detail you can watch the video.  

Amazing, it actually worked!!

 Then it can be rolled up and taped for transport! (Not recommended for long term storage).  It was so much easier to pack and transport (those five flights of steps were not easy though!)  Once we got it back on her bed and took the plastic off, it went popped right back to it's original shape.  This was a lifesaver for us so we didn't have to rent a truck for the move.

Double Move Weekend

Labor Day weekend was definitely that for us. 

We moved College Girl up to Boston and into her dorm on Friday.

 She's in a great building.

 And has a fabulous apartment with great views!

The move  was fairly easy with the help of moving hampers and elevators. 

 We had dinner around Fenway that night.

 One last breakfast  and walk around campus on Saturday before heading home for ....

Move #2

On Sunday morning we repacked the car and drove to Brooklyn to move City Girl into her new place.

 This is a quick shot before we started moving her things in.

 Her bedroom has some exposed brick, shiny wood floors and a great sunny window. This move was much tougher because she lives up 5 flights of steps and there's no elevator. We got our work out in that day!

Driving back to our empty nest  home after move #2.  I think Mom & Dad's moving company is closed for awhile!

Last Veg Fest of Summer

We got to take College Girl to one of favorite Veg Fest's from last year.

This year the location was better and there were more vendors.

We got there in time for lunch and I started with this Gangster Vegan juice. Mine was blueberry instead of strawberry and so good.

 I also ordered the Kalefornia Soul Bowl (2nd on the menu) which we shared.

We also tried this Mexican corn on a stick. So yum!

 It was fun sharing the fest with her before she left for school.

 We ended the day with some banana whips.  I think we each got the same thing!

Summer Date Night - Squeeze Concert

I know everyone in BlogLand is already onto ALL THE FALL things but I still have a few summer posts left (and it's technically still summer until Monday!).

Mr. Click and I went to another concert at a local casino (you can't beat it for the location and proximity to home!).

I ran into a high school friend at the newly opened beer garden.  Remember this adorable photo shoot with the cutest puppy?

{Photography} Sunflowers

I've mentioned this sunflower shoot a few times on the blog and I'm finally sharing some more of the photos.

I'd been 'stalking' a sunflower field on Facebook for a year and just waiting to hear that the sunflowers were ready.

I didn't know if College Girl would be up for an hour+ ride to take photos but she was.

 We hit a bit of rain on the way up but once we got there, it had cleared up.

The sunflower field is behind a car wash in Elverson, Pennsylvania. The owners have been planting it and allowing people to come and take photos in it (they even hosted a wedding this year) for a number of years. The sunflower window is only about two weeks so you can imagine how busy it gets with everyone trying to get their photos.

 Everyone was really nice and tried to keep out of each other's way as much as possible. We managed to get some really great shots in less than an hour and were back in the car on the way home before it got dark.
