Maple Holistics Silk 18 Shampoo Review and Giveaway

When Maple Holistics  reached out to me to review their Silk18 Shampoo, I was happy to give it a try.
 From their website:

Boston in Bloom

When we dropped College Girl off in Boston for summer session in early May, the city was starting to come alive with beautiful blooms.

 A quick stroll through some pretty neighborhoods had me swooning.

 The beautiful homes accented by the gorgeous flowers..I couldn't get enough of them!

Some of my favorites lately...

Lunch date on a gorgeous day!

 Another set of these Impress nails.  I like the sassy sparkly one!

Minneola tangerines.  I bought them on a whim and they are so sweet and juicy!

I finally got to try this internet hack--2 shots of espresso over ice with a protein drink. Yumm-o!

 We got a new grill and it's been getting a lot of use. His and hers pizza on the grill was delish!

{Shopping} IKEA Haul & Lunch

When College Girl was home she requested a trip to Ikea..who am I to deny her?

 I didn't have anything specific in mind to shop for (except some of their large tea light candles).  It's fun to just browse and see the new room displays.  I came home with only a few things which might be a first!

 I got two of their jar candles, I'm picky about the scents and only like vanilla and apple. I couldn't resist this birdhouse tea light lantern.

The only other things I picked up were some new cutting boards, a set of scissors and those large tea light candles.

We had to stay for lunch in the cafe of course! I love their veggie meatballs and you can't beat the price! Have you been to Ikea lately?

{Recipe} Copycat Panera Strawberry "Chkn" Salad & Poppyseed Dressing

I showed this salad on one of my Few Things Friday posts awhile back.  It was so good that I decided to remake it for its own recipe post.

 My version of the Panera Strawberry "Chkn" salad starts with some crispy tenders.  I like Gardein and Trader Joe's brands.  I bake them up until they are browned and crispy.

While they are baking, I assemble my salad. For this one I used mixed greens, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, shredded carrots, scallions, mandarin oranges and fresh strawberries.

 Then I whip up this super simple Lemon Poppyseed Dressing.

{Oil Free Lemon Poppyseed Dressing}

Ingredients:

1/2 non dairy milk (unsweetened)

1/3 cup chopped onion (I only had a red one this time)

1 TBS Dijon mustard

1 tsp garlic powder

3 TBS apple cider vinegar

2 TBS lemon juice

2-4 packets stevia sweetener (I used 2)

1/4-1/2 cup water

2 TBS poppyseeds

Mix all ingredients (except poppy seeds) together in a high speed blender until smooth. Start with 1/4 cup of water and add more if needed.  Stir in poppy seeds and store in an airtight container in the fridge.  Give it a shake if it separation occurs before serving.

  Look at all of those bright colors!

 When the "chk-n" tenders are done, slice them up and add to the salad.

 Pour that dressing on top!

 I like to add some slivered almonds too.

 One more shot of that dressing action.

 Dig in!

Latest Trader Joe's Finds

I got back to my beloved Trader Joe's last week and there were so many new (to me) items on the shelves. 

Vegan Banana Bread was kind of exciting!

 I've heard of this Pancake Bread but I think this is the first time I've seen it in person.

 What cute little cakes!

 Mini Cranberry Orange Tea Scones

I always check out the end caps to see what's new and these two Cold Brew Coconut Cream Latte flavors caught my eye!  It comes in Original and...

 Caramel Spice.

 I'm a big fan of TJ's beauty products.  I picked up this Rose Facial Oil and it has a light rose scent.

 This was another new to me product. I might try it next time.

 Whenever I see the seasonal hand soaps, I check them out!

 These candles usually fly off of the shelves.

 I think I got one of these last year and I got another one this trip. These are great travel candles.

 Oat and Greek Yogurt Sandwich Cookies..someone tell me how these are?

 Oo la la! Pain Au Lait Chocolate Chip Milk rolls.

 This Jalapeño Sauce came home with me.  It's got a little kick!

 They are always coming out with new kinds of pasta.

 This Harvest Grains sounds good.

So many beverage options!

 This sounds very interesting (and yummy).

 Cold Brew Coffee that's ready to drink.

 Oven Baked Cheese Bites are another gluten free snack option.

 Chocolate Chip Cocoa Meringues are a new flavor to me.

 Milk & Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel Popcorn?! YES!

 I bought these and they are tasty!

 This 5 Cheese Greek Spiral was in the freezer section.

 Such cute cookies!

 An easy side dish or meal (for me).

 Meatless Breakfast Patties--TJ's makes great meat alternatives.

 Also in the freezer, Quinoa Duo with Vegetable Melange.

 I've had this medley(Eggplant, Zucchini & Red Peppers) before and it's really good!

 Both of these cookies sound really good.

Mini Biscotti Cookies!

 I'm not a beet fan but these look like they're super convenient if you are a fan.

 So many gluten free options!

 This tea looked fresh for summer.

I picked this one up because I love Ginger & Turmeric.
