Happening & Loving Lately

In no particular order, this is what's been happening/I've been loving lately.

I painted the inside of our front door in the same color as our kitchen island, Sea Cliff Heights by Benjamin Moore. It really brightens up this little spot

I didn't love this, but we had our heating and a/c systems replaced.  This was our disgusting, old furnace so it was badly needed.

We also replaced our old fence.  It looks pretty bad when it's all stacked up like this.

The new one is a major improvement.

We celebrated my birthday with the girls at a local-ish restaurant. They took the ferry over from NYC for the first time and loved it.

One of the neighboring towns was the location for filming Netflix's The Four Seasons-season 2.    This is Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani filming a scene.

It was so cool to see it being shot and to see all of the equipment, people, etc.

These guys were the stand-ins for the above actors. 

The day after my birthday dinner we were expecting a pretty bad storm. We got a lot of wind and some rain.

Going out to breakfast at a new to us place.

My mother in law made me this beautiful and intricate bouquet of money roses for my birthday.

Speaking of roses, we had some late blooming knockout roses in the garden that I cut and brought inside.

Adding a little fall decor to the island.

This house had the coolest silhouettes in their windows for Halloween. It was incredible! 

City Girl #2 and I saw Wicked For Good last night and I can't stop thinking about it!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! Here are some things I've been loving lately.

{one year ago}

Celebrating one year in our new home! We've done so much to the house and are loving our new town and area.

OPI Nail Envy. I've been using this polish with the OPI Repair Mode.  I hope they come out with more colors.  This is my favorite neutral called Double Nude-y.

Going to yoga at my local studio. This was a very chill evening class. 

One of my old friends (we met in middle school homeroom!) came to see the new house and Mr. Click's band. It was a fun night!

My beautiful Valentine's Day flowers.  We also went out for a nice meal on Saturday and to see Captain America a Brave New World.  I love the new 'Cap!

These cropped corduroy Maddy pants from Costco. They are a really good dupe of the Anthro Colette pants that I love and a MUCH better price point!  What have you been loving lately?

Loving Lately-September/October

 Here are some things I've been loving lately!

We went out for our anniversary and took a photo in this mirror (we didn't realize at the time that it was for a wedding that was going on at the same place!)

We enjoyed this warm chocolate chip cookie and ice cream treat for dessert. yum!

We're enjoying walks on the beach whenever we like.  It's especially nice now that the summer crowds are gone.

We went to a fun birthday party and City Girl #2 was able to attend too.

We love a photo booth!

We went to another party that had an ice cream truck show up for the guests!

Mr. Click had a reunion gig with his first band and I dressed in my "groupie" outfit.

It was so much fun to see everyone and some old fans/friends.

I got myself a new fall mug because my last few broke (this one also had an accident but I was able to replace it).

I loved this nail color from mooncat.

I couldn't decide which pair of pants to get from Anthropologie when I was birthday shopping. (I ended up with #2) I might go back for more because I love them so much.

We had both girls home for a night over Columbus Day weekend. 

I've loved seeing all of the Halloween decorations in our new neighborhood!

City Girls and friends visiting for Mr. Click's gig.  This was earlier so slightly out of order.

This is sweet and sad, a neighbor's "pet cemetery" with photos of their beloved pets that have died.

I take walks daily and always look out for the cute kitties. I've made friends with a few but talk to all of them!

Loving Lately

 Here's what I've been loving lately...

SOUP:

I've been on a soup making kick lately.

Lasagna Soup

Butternut Squash Soup

Crockpot Split Pea Soup

BOOKS:

My BS(Brilliant Sister) recommended both of these books and I loved them!

I also read this book and it really stuck with me!

GIGS:

Mr. Click had a couple of fun gigs that I got to go to.

This one was a political fundraiser at a really cool backyard.

This one was with his Virginia band on an 80º Saturday in October (apple cider prosecco slushie was delish!)

FALL:

I've been loving my walks and soaking up the gorgeous fall weather.

HALLOWEEN:

I had fun spookifying my house a little bit.

Our 2023 very last minute costumes.  (Slytherin girl and Snape)

Willow got into the Halloween spirit too!

TV SHOW:

I loved this book and I've watched a few episodes of the tv version. Brie Larson is so good in it!
