{Random|} August in Photos & Bonus Video

It's time to clean out that camera roll and see what happened last month in random photos.

 This is what happens when I start organizing and cleaning out my cabinets.

{DIY} Staircase Mirror Update with Chalk Paint

I was so inspired by Miss High School's Chalk Paint Mirror Tray Transformation, that I did a mirror makeover of my own.

 I was eyeing up this staircase mirror and thought it could use a little update.

 I gave it two coats of American Decor Chalky Finish paint in Everlasting.

 Then a quick coat of the wax finishing cream.

I can't get over how much it brightens up the space now!

{Things Loved} Favorite Side Dish

Have you tried these?

 They have become a favorite of mine for a quick side dish or even a main course.  The potatoes cook in the microwave for 5 minutes and then you let them sit for 2 minutes.

 After that, just add the included seasoning mix and stir to combine. You can add butter or olive oil with the herbs but I think they are great as is.  I found mine at Walmart.

They are really nice with my Mushroom Black Bean Burgers.

Ikea's Raskog Cart:Styled 2 Ways

I purchased this beauty back in August and I've been having fun styling it up and deciding where it's going to be most useful in the house.

So far, I've come up with two ways to use it.

 First, in the kitchen in the nook next to the oven.   This is where I'm currently keeping it. It's a perfect fit, don't you think?

 I call this the school command center.

Here it holds the back pack, lunch bags, drink holders and the laptop.  It's a great way to keep it all corralled and accessible.

 My second style idea is a fun bar cart for parties.  It really holds a lot and can be moved around to wherever you need it.

I have a few more ideas for styling the Raskog so there's more to come!  Do you have a Raskog cart? How are you styling it up?
