{Photography} NEW Headshots

 City Girl #2 needed some new headshots and we had time over the rainy Memorial Day weekend to shoot them. 

 I was really rusty and not used to shooting in my new space but I think we got some good shots.  I used an AI feature in Photoshop to change the backdrop in this one.

This was a fun one with the pencil in the bun for this literary lass.

I was also really rusty at editing and Photoshop but I've been working on these edits and feeling better about my skills.   

Speaking of fun, we pulled Toki in for a few shots (bribed her!)

{Photography} Fall Photoshoot

I got to photograph these cuties(our niece and nephews) for a fun fall photoshoot. 

Photographing three kiddos 4 and under is definitely a challenge.

I had a team behind me trying to get smiles and giggles out of this trio.  Here are some of my favorite shots.

It's such an honor to capture this moment in time with these special kiddos!

{Photography} Engagement Photo Shoot

Back in October I got to do a very special photo shoot.

My niece and her fiancé asked me to photograph them for their save the dates and wedding website.

We started out on the boardwalk.

I loved this colorful mural as a backdrop.

We then headed down to the beach. A dog came by to see what we were doing.

It was a beautiful night.

She had a lot of poses in mind and I also added a few that I wanted to take.

I'm obsessed with this one of her ring!

I enhanced the sky in this one...

...but you can see how gorgeous it was as the sun was setting.  I'm so happy we got one of the four of us!

{Photography} Photographing a Sweet 16 Party

My niece asked my to be the photographer at her sweet 16 party, how could I say no? 

She and her mom did a fantastic job with decor.

I got to use my big girl camera and had some fun with bokeh.

She was a vision in pink and her guests all wore black.  

A sweet ending to a special night!

{Photography} Jenn's New Head Shots

It's been awhile since I posted one of my photoshoots but I wanted to share this one.

 Jenn is a repeat client and I was so honored that she asked me to do her new headshots.  I also shot her 50th birthday milestone session, her engagement photos and her previous headshots in Philly.

She's a local realtor and overall great lady.

We had such a fun day shooting together in my studio.

We went through a lot of looks and had a lot of laughs!

I wanted her to have a lot of options for her social media accounts.

Her favorite  (and mine too) was this outdoor shot. Look at those beautiful blue eyes!  Which one is your favorite?

{Entertaining} Thanksgiving Weekend 2022

I know it's January but I'm still back in November with this post.  We hosted Thanksgiving this year and it was the first big group (20+) we'd had in a long time.  I was in full panic mode getting the house ready (we had just returned from Vegas the week before).  We had the house power washed and I ordered some decor for the front porch to help us get ready. At least the outside looked good!

I didn't get mums this year so I treated myself to some Bloombox greenery. How cute is this delivery box? It did feel like Santa, I mean Planta- Clause had left a special present for us when I saw this on the front porch.

The mix of greenery, dried hydrangeas, festive sticks and fluffy fronds was perfect for Thanksgiving but would carry me through the holidays (plus it's still looking great!)

I also got this mini potted tree wrapped in burlap and it's also still going strong. I added a string of twinkly lights for Christmas and I love it so much.

To add to my stress, I also had a photo shoot two DAYS before Thanksgiving and they needed the photo asap. And it was 15 people!  It was my largest group photo ever and luckily we got a great shot for the grandparents. phew!

To minimize my stress, I stuck to cleaning and decor and let everyone else work on the food. I made a few things but not my usual repertoire.  The greenery is from Amazon and  I used some of my Trader Joe's pillar candles from this post. 

City Girl #1 made her famous roasted veggies.

Mr Click made his famous mashed potatoes. I didn't get photos of any more of the food!  Everyone contributed something and it was all delicious.

Thank goodness I had lots of helpers!

The rest of the weekend was much more relaxed. Some Black Friday shopping (not me), an appetizer dinner and tree decorating night.  City Girl #2 made the charcuterie board for us.

A night out to see a family member's band. Fun!

It was great to have everybody home for the long weekend!

Our 2022 Christmas Card

For this year's card, we did a Love Actually movie theme.   We never have much time to shoot the images and we did all of these on Thanksgiving right before our guests arrived.  You gotta do, what you gotta do!!  I think it was a little easier because we didn't have to a group photo and I had a lot to pick from to make our card.  Do you know the movie? It's one of my faves!
