Enjoying Spring in Philly

We had a free Saturday and took an impromptu trip into Philadelphia.

We had lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Bar Bombon. It happens to be vegan and it's so good.   

We started with the nachos.

The weather in the city was so much warmer than it was back at home. It was the most glorious Spring day in Rittenhouse Square.

The park was mobbed and full of people enjoying the beautiful day.

I always enjoy walking around the park and looking at the gardens.  

They were looking good!

We walked around the city and did some shopping before heading home.  It was such a nice day!

{Field Trip} Ringing Rocks Park

 We had a free weekend and checked something off that we've been wanting to try out.

We made a visit to Ringing Rocks Park in Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania.  It's a boulder field in a 123-acre park.

We wanted to hear those ringing rocks for ourselves. You have to remember to bring your own hammer to make the rocks ring like a bell.  A few people had metal wrenches and they seemed to work too.

There were little indents in some of the rocks from being hit so many times. That's where the good sounds were!

It was a little harder to walk around on those rocks that we expected. 

After we were done ringing the rocks, we walked through the park to find Bucks County's largest waterfall....but we hadn't had enough rain and it was dry.  Some people were having fun running across it.

Thanks to Tiktok, we made a stop at Homestead General Store.

It was a cute little store and cafe.

We grabbed some coffee and walked on a path running along a canal behind the store.

It was a perfect fall day.

We also checked out this sweet free library before we left.

A Quiet (and Productive) Memorial Day Weekend

 We didn't have any plans for Memorial Day weekend so we had a bit of a staycation and also got things done around the house.

The weather was beautiful and we took a drive to Lambertville, New Jersey.

We had lunch at Local Greek for the first time.  We would definitely go back.

We walked over to New Hope, PA just across the bridge and did some browsing in this vintage shop.

Back in Lambertville, we stopped at Chez Alice Patisserie. The pastries all looked amazing but we were still too full from lunch so we just ordered coffee.

We wanted to work on the deck and it needed a good cleaning.  Sweeping, leaf blowing and finally power washing.  There was so much pollen! We had to replace some of our solar string lights as well.

It felt good to get it back together and ready to enjoy.  We did a lot of weeding in the gardens and I planted some more plants and seeds.

We took a very exciting trip to the car wash (along with everyone else in the tri- state area, again..all of the pollen!)

We took some long walks and tried a new coffee place. I got the Mushroom Hero and it was so good.

We ended the weekend at a new to us brewery with some pizza.  How was your Memorial Day?

{Photography} Engagement Photo Shoot

 I got to photograph the sweetest couple for their engagement shoot.

The groom-to-be's mom gifted them with the session.

We had the most beautiful fall day at a local park for shooting this adorable couple.

It was such a fun shoot because they were up for anything I suggested.   They had some great ideas as well.

The bride-to-be told me that they were both book and video game lovers so we made sure to incorporate some of that into their session.

They brought the props and I brought my camera!

I kept calling them "most likely to cuddle" because they were so cute together.  What a special shoot for me!

Anniversary Weekend: {Sting at Wolftrap & Brooklyn Brunch}

 It was sad to come home from our trip to Mexico but luckily we had some fun things planned the following weekend.

Not only was it Labor Day weekend, it was also our anniversary (33 years!)! We kicked it off with an anniversary lunch in New Hope.

We love to walk over the bridge to Lambertville, New Jersey when we're in New Hope. For our walk,  I tried this Starbucks Apple Crisp Oat Milk Macchiato. It was just ok and I probably wouldn't order it again.  Have you tried it?

That night Mr. Click's band was recording a promo video. We got there early so he could set up and I took a walk in the lovely neighborhood. Look at these cuties!

It was kind of a little party/band concert and we had a really good time with everybody.

The next morning we were off to....Virginia! What? We had to stop for some Sheetz coffee along the way.

We were going to see STING in concert at Wolftrap in Virginia. We had tickets to see him in May in Philly but our extended graduation plans made us sell them. It was awesome to still be able to see him.

It was our first time at Wolftrap and we loved it.

We couldn't believe all the things you could bring into a show like coolers, alcohol, food, blankets and chairs. We had seats but sitting out on the grass looked like fun too.

We didn't know what to expect and got there early for the show. We had some time before we could get to our seats so we tried some beers and got some snacks. The weather was perfect for an outdoor show.

Sting's son, Joe Sumner opened the show and then The Last Bandoleros did a set. They were both really good.

Of course Sting was amazing!

Guess where we are now? Yep, Brooklyn! On Labor Day we went to NYC to visit our girls (and Toki). Not seen here, Apollo who hid from us. :(

We had a fantastic brunch at Sunday in Brooklyn.

I got this warm grain bowl. So yum. They are also known for their Sunday Pancakes™ so we got one for the table and it was delicious.

The best part was getting to spend some time with these two lovelies!

{Field Trip} Elfreth's Alley & Walk Around Philly

I had to pick up some photo equipment in Philly and we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood since it's not one we usually get to visit.

 We ran right into Elfreth's Alley and I don't think I'd ever walked down it before. It's the nation's oldest continuously inhabited residential street. How's that for a mouthful?

It's super quaint and charming. 

People really live here and the homes are quite in demand.

A couple times a year they open their homes to the public. I need to do that one of these days.  There's a little museum as well but we didn't go in.

We passed this pretty kitty at a local bookstore.

We also stopped in at Franklin Fountain. How cute is this place? They had some vegan ice cream flavors and I tried the Hydrox --do you know what that is??  Comment, if you do (or don't)!
