{Recipe}Easy Apple Crisp

Another apple recipe for you! I made one more recipe from our apple picking bounty.

Peel, core and cut about 5-8 apples.

{it's nice to have a helper!}
Fill your baking dish up with the chopped apples.  I use my Pampered Chef Deep Dish Baker.

Mix up the topping:
8 graham cracker squares--crushed
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of oatmeal
1/2 cup of flour
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp of allspice

Melt 1 stick of butter and pour it over the topping.  My mom had one of these butter melters when I was a kid and I found a similar one a garage sale.  Yes, I could melt in the microwave but sometimes I like going old school.

mmmmmmelted buttah!

Now mix it all together with a spoon.

Pour the topping over the apples.

Bake in a 350F oven for 30-35 minutes until apples are tender.

Serve warm but the cold leftovers are good too!
If you missed my other apple recipes you can find them here and here.

Nice recipe Heather, I didn't know about this treat. I have a bag of apple today, I could either do this or do a regular pie. Hmmm :D

Oh Heather! Your apple crisp looks wonderful and I'm sure it tastes wonderful, too.
My Mom use to have one of those litte butter melting pots, too. I remember that it was aqua blue. Funny the things one can remember. Thanks for sharing with us on Rednesday.
