Christmas 2020 Wrap Up

Here's a "quick" recap of  our  holiday season.

Getting to the Christmas store --you can see the Apollo ornament we  found if you look closely!

Making potato latkes and homemade applesauce.

We got a little snow!

We made a baked vegetable bread boat.  So good!

We went to Philly one day.

Getting drinks at a festive bar called Tinsel.  Mine was a candy cane concoction served in an ornament cup.

College Girl opened her 21st birthday time capsule.    Apollo was very interested in the 1999-2000 era.

Most Popular Posts of 2020

It's become a tradition to compile my most popular posts from the previous year and I couldn't let this one go by.  2020 was a crazy year but there were still quite a few bright spots.  Here are my top 9.

This was the first and last time I entertained in my house last year.  I look forward to having people over again!

{Travel: Boston Visit}

We visited College Girl in Boston in February and had a really nice trip.  It was only a month later that we had to pick her up and move her home.

Who knew this was a thing but it sure helped with the elastic ear straps!

{DIY} Yoga Mat Cleaner

This was a quick and easy gift idea that I made for my daughters and my BFF (and one for me!).

My yoga studio used to make their own mat cleaner and I was able to find a lot recipes online to create my own.

The basic ingredients are: Distilled water, alcohol free witch hazel(I used Thayers brand), tea tree oil and other anti bacterial essential oils of your choice. I used  a lavender and peppermint blend.   You could also use lemongrass and/or eucalyptus.

I found these cute glass spray bottles that were 4 ounces and mixed each batch up in a measuring cup.

To make: I used 3 ounces of distilled water, 1 ounce of witch hazel,  20 drops of tea tree oil and 10 drops each of the lavender and peppermint essential oils. I used a funnel to fill up the bottles.

I had plenty to make 4 bottles worth and lots of leftover for refills.

I labeled the bottles and added some bakers twine 

I love having (and gifting) an all natural yoga mat cleaner.

To use the yoga mat cleaner: Shake bottle then spray  a light coat over the yoga mat and wipe with a clean cloth.

Happy Holidays 2020

This year our cards were done at the last minute but I'm so glad we did a quick photoshoot for this Schitt's Creek inspired card.  That show definitely brightened my quarantine (so much so that I watched it twice!).
