Due to the heat wave and dry spell we've had this summer, not to mention my laziness with watering it all, my beautiful spring garden has mostly shriveled up or been eaten by critters.
My container gardens are performing much better.
The pots on my deck steps look pretty good.
The flowers in this three-tiered planter that I made here are overtaking it.
Blue and white china planter on the deck (about a month ago).
And now, the polka dot plants have doubled in size.
These little potted impatiens are thriving in this thrift store basket.
We're also growing two kinds of cherry tomatoes - red and yellow. You can't see any yellow ones in this picture but it's the plant on the left and they are delicious!
These gals must love the sun and dryness in the garden!
and my morning glories are starting to do their thing.
How is your garden doing? Hopefully much better than mine!

We don't have a garden...we always have had huge ones but here, there are too many critters that would eat it all up and we don't feel like fighting them for it! Your flowers are really nice..thats what I do to. I think Fall is coming here shortly! ;D
I seem to do better with containers too. Yours have certainly flourished!
Your garden beats mine all to heck and back because we are undergoing a remodel, and I have NO landscaping! You have given me some great ideas to shoot for next year! Great job!
Ugh, I ALWAYS forget to water the garden. I start out with the best of intentions in the spring, but by July, I kind of forget to do it, even though I walk by them several times a day. Same reason I only have one houseplant.
Your's ARE doing well :)
My garden is my containers. That's all I have and they are doing pretty well this season.
Hi! I'm your newest follower from Meet Me Monday.
The kiddos and I planned on having a garden this year, but our yard needed a lot of work to get the soil decent so we won't be able to do this until next Spring. That really stinks! Your pots look great. I may have to go to my local nursery to see if I can find some potted plants to liven up our porch.
How pretty, such lovely splashes of colour. I'm without a garden right now, but am enjoying the freedom of at this time.
Although sometimes I do wish for fresh garden tomatoes :D
Heather, it looks like everything is doing fine to me. It has been a terribly hot summer. I water every day.
Your flowers are gorgeous!
You should see my yard and vegetable garden. It is embarrassing. So horrible. Laziness was my first name this year:)
Your flowers look awesome Heather!!~ Much better than mine, I have to get out everyday and water and sometimes I forget. Thanks for sharing in the B & A party...I am having a ball going around today:) Debbie
Love the stacked pots. Colorful with our without flowers.
Beautiful pots! I love gardening with pots, too! You should see my gardening section on my blog sometime! I saw your blog from Debbiedoos!
Oh what cute containers for your flowers, I have got to get more creative outside! I love all the color! I am a boring white paint girl.

Hi! I am your new follower from Welcome Wednesday =) Hope you will come visit at www.thatgirlsdeals.com
Your potted flowers are gorgeous! I'd love to grow something like that but I don't think our deck gets enough light:(
All of your plants are amazing. I just harvested my tomatoes yesterday and all of my kids have fun doing it. My cabbages got no worms anymore since I cover it up with net. The big squash is growing nicely. I hope that I can harvest it already after some weeks. I can't wait to have all of my plants harvest!
My garden is doing great too. My cherry tomatoes and all of my flowering plants totally love the sun. I got problems with bugs in my cabbage and lettuce so I need to replant it again.
My garden? Oh my garden is doing fine. But your garden is doing better! LOL. My garden is kinda having a little problem because of the extreme weather we are having. The tomatoes are starting to wither but the flowers are doing fine. By the way, nice blog! I love it! Keep it up!
My garden is doing great! All of my plants are producing well except for the pumpkin. I have male flowers and never had a female flower. Maybe I had one but it never developed. My tomatoes are really reddish and perfect. There are no splitting area or blossom end rot.
