That's no cloche, you say?
The minute I spotted this candle holder at Goodwill I thought it would make a better cloche and for $1.97, I wasn't too worried if it didn't. I washed it out and removed the wax then set about to find a base for it and something to fill it with.
I used a pedestal from this thrifting excursion and an Ikea mirror as the base.

Now where to display it and what to display in it. I found these composer dudes sitting on our piano (my daughter gets one for each piano recital she does) and corralled them into the vase/cloche.
It does remind me a little of Haunted Mansion ride in Disney. If they start singing then I'll be creeped out.

Heather, I love it. Makes a great cloche and you can still use it as a candle holder too. Now that's definitely a twofer. You just can't get any better than that. I think it's wonderful. Hugs, Marty

Love it...great eye! Agreed that it would be creepy if they sang :)
That DID work out very well, Heather...and it does remind me of the Haunted Mansion! LOL! I need to start looking at these glass pieces in a new way~ thanks for the inspiration!
Heather, Thanks for visiting my blog! I think it is so much fun to "find" something and make it into something! You are so clever and I love the busts of musicians. I took piano when I was young and I got them too! I am reusing dog food bags to make crayon caddies for my pre-k kids, I am going to give them as Christmas presents. I will post them when I have some completed.
Great blog...A few hours to blog hop tonight....Love it!
Hope you will stop by for a visit...I am giving away another copy of In a Heartbeat on Monday night...

Holy cow, YES, it does have a note of Haunted Mansion to it! Nevertheless, good eye, and it did make a good cloche. I love your inventive base.

What a cute idea! I don't think it is creepy at all. I love that you used a candle holder for a cloche!
