Birthday Celebrating in NYC

City Girl #2 and I had an early birthday celebration this year in NYC.

She wanted to see Jinx Monsoon in Oh Mary so we got tickets for a September show. We went last year for her birthday as well but that was with the original Mary Todd Lincoln - the brilliant Cole Escola. CG #2 also saw Betty Gilpin as the lead back in March. What can I say, we love the show!

We met up for dinner with the girls first at The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens. The location is so pretty.

It was definitely photo shoot worthy!

I got a photo of my lovelies out on the terrace.

The food was really good and we shared everything.

This was a fancy s'mores dessert. The presentation was incredible.

Since both of our birthdays are in October and only 3 days apart, we each got a little cake with a candle.

Jinx was amazing as Mrs. Lincoln, each actor adds their own personal touch to the role. I'm so glad they keep extending the show!

{Field Trip} Oasis Concert

We got to see Oasis (the Britpop sensation from the 90's) during their highly anticipated and attended tour in the US.

Mr. Click is a big fan and we got the tickets over a year before the show. Here's our "fit" for the concert before we left.

These socks have made an appearance on the blog before and were perfect with my Adidas.

He got an outfit change after we visited the merch stand.

The concert was at MetLife Stadium and it was our first time seeing a show there.

Our seats included this indoor viewing area and we watched Cage The Elephant from here.

In the stadium for the show. We heard it was the Era's tour for dads and thought that was pretty acurate.

I was thoroughly impressed and knew so many of their songs. The energy in the stadium was incredible. Those lads from Manchester can rock!

{Recipe} 2 Ingredient Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bars

I can't even really call this a recipe but it's so good, I must share! This is another "Tiktok made me do it" recipe.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bars!

They require only 2 ingredients! Empty one can of pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix) into a bowl and add a packet of chocolate chip cookie mix (Betty Crocker-17.5oz). Stir together. I added some pumpkin pie spice as well but that's optional.

Pour into a greased (or parchment lined) 8x8inch pan and bake at 350ºF for 35-45 minutes. Check for doneness in the middle.

Let cool and cut into squares. I like them chilled in the fridge but they are good at room temperature as well. Try these even if you aren't the biggest pumpkin fan. They are not overly pumpkin flavored and not too sweet either.

Loving Lately...

What I've been loving lately...

These Halloween pj's from Walmart. They are so soft and perfect for right now when it's been pretty warm. I love the cute cat print.

My orchid bloomed! I've had a few orchids for over a year and one has just re-bloomed for the first time! Any tips would be appreciated!

I made the easiest pumpkin chocolate chip bars for one of our Sunday Fundays and they were gobbled up. Recipe coming soon.

Loving the early entry perk for executive members at Costco. We can enter at 9 am and we're out of there by 9:30 when the rest of the members are arriving.
