{Travel} Night 4/Day 5-Pubs, Grub & Arthur's Seat

Welcome back to our Edinburgh adventure, if you read yesterday's post..you know we had a full day of touring the city. Catch up here if you're interested.  We wanted to check out the live music scene that night so after a dinner of Mexican food we stopped into a pub where the music sounded fun.
It was packed so we didn't take many photos.  The singer was Irish and did a good mix of popular songs and traditional Irish music.  We met some Eagles fans from our area who were actually on the Ghost/Ghoul tour with us and recognized Mr. Click from his Eagles hat.

We had a trip to Arthur's Seat planned for the morning.

It was about a 2 mile walk from our flat to Holyrood Park.
Arthur's Peak is the highest peak in Holyrood Park and the park itself is 640 acres.
It's an ancient volcano that sits 251m above sea level and offers the most spectacular views of the city.
We walked up pretty high.
It was super windy up there...
but the views were worth it.
It was a little cloudy and lightly raining and you could still see really far.
Mr. Click conquering the world.

I couldn't stop taking pictures in every direction I could see.
College Girl took this one of us.
After all of that hiking, we walked back into town for lunch at Pumpkin Brown's.

It was a sweet vegan cafe and we shared a rice bowl, pumpkin soup with the best bread and pumpkin hummus toast.
We wanted to some shopping since we were leaving the next day so we went back to Princes Street, walking through the park on the way there and back.
It's really such a beautiful city!
We also hit up some shops on Victoria Street (aka Diagon Alley).
We wanted to make it an early night and went to The Red Squirrel for dinner.

Veggie burger and fries were on point!  We made it an early night because we had to pack and get ready for DUBLIN!

Oh that food looks good. I saw the Eagles at the O2 a few years ago before one of them died. They were very entertaining.
