Awhile I ago I introduced you to our outdoor living space, the deck but the cushion covers were waiting a makeover at the time. It looked like this. The cushions are hard to see but they had a leaf pattern on them in tans and browns (they are not on the seats because I was drying them out).
Here's another view. We purchased the furniture with the house. This is what the deck looked like when we first toured the house. The cushions for the dining chairs were a tweedy taupe.
We already had this brick red umbrella so I wanted to incorporate that into our new color scheme.
My MIL worked very hard to finish up these new covers with the outdoor fabric I had picked out.
Out here in the "tree house" we have stripes in cranberry, brown, tan and olive on the love seat and chairs.
I think it really makes the furniture pop now!
I got these Moroccan lanterns to go with the color scheme. They are heavy and don't blow over when it's windy.
I picked up this basket at Goodwill for $3.00.
The accent pillows are made out of the same fabric as the dining chair cushions.
It's a floral pattern in the same colors.
Now a side by side comparison.
These new cushions really draw the eye outside from our kitchen window. I need to go sit out there and have a cup of coffee while listening to the birds! Do you have a favorite outdoor space?

What a fabulous deck you have Heather! You MIL did a great job on the cushions. They definitely added color to the setting. As for my favorite outdoor setting, like Shellbelle said, "Any beach, any where, any time!" That sums it up for me!

I absolutely love those new seat cushions, and they go with the umbrella perfectly! But what I love even more is that deck. It's like a sanctuary in the woods! If it wasn't for the mosquitoes, I would want to sleep out there!

Hi Heather,
What a transformation!! Your MIL did a fantastic job. I love the colors that you chose to use. I'm looking to brighten up my back porch with a fabric that has similar colors, just haven't put the fabric to the machine yet! Maybe this winter...
