{Travel} Oahu, Hawaii-Travel & Day 2

Travel Day
We were picked up at 3:30am for our drive to the airport so it was lovely to get ushered to the Delta One lounge upon our arrival.  We went through our own security line and were the only people in it.  It was our first time flying Delta One.
The lounge felt so fancy!
They had servers to take your order and you could pretty much get anything you wanted.
[Watching the snow fall outside the huge windows and enjoying our cappuccinos.]
Popping in this photo of my travel nails. They lasted a long time (I just took them off).  They are Dashing Diva nail stickers.
We made it onto the plane. Yay! Off to LAX.  I watched the newest Downton Abbey movie and realized I hadn't seen the two previous ones. It didn't matter, I still remembered the characters and it was fun to see what they were up to.
We had a layover in LAX and their lounge was awesome too. We had a view of the Hollywood sign. Can you see it?
We enjoyed a snack and a glass of wine with a view.
Onto our next flight! We made it to Oahu and took a taxi to our hotel. We were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki for Mr. Click's conference.
'
We had been traveling about 20 hours and were ready to unwind, explore the resort and grab some dinner.
It was dark so we walked around the resort but couldn't see much of the view.  We were exhausted and ready for bed by around 9pm.
Day 2
My view in the morning.
I thought my outfit looked cute, too bad the photo is blurry!
I took a long morning walk along the water.  The resort itself is huge and is attached to a whole shopping village.
It was surreal to go from snow to sunshine and palm trees!
I spent most of the day hanging out at one of the pools with some of the other spouses from the conference.  The sun got really intense later in the day and I needed a break from it. I cooled off and had lunch in my room. The resort was extremely crowded due to the conference and it took a little getting used to the crowds and lines.
My casual dinner outfit. I met up with the other spouses and we walked into downtown Waikiki for dinner.  We went to Oyster Hale by Crush, a Japanese seafood place. I got the Garlic Butter Shrimp and was surprised that the shells were still on!

How I'm Surviving This Winter

It's been a tough winter but I'm trying to make the best of it. Here are some ways that  I'm coping with the extreme negative temperatures and large amounts of ice and snow.
1)Taking a trip to a warm climate.  We don't normally do this but I highly recommend it.
2) Wearing Uniqlo Heat Tech legging and tops under my regular clothes.  Having that added layer of warmth protection really helps when going outside. I just ordered a few more pieces.
I wear them under my clothes for extra warmth!
I have some turtlenecks that I wear on their own too.
3)Taking nighttime, candlelit showers. My schedule has flipped and I'm taking more nighttime showers. Dimming the lights and lighting a candle makes it feel special.  Romanticize your life, right?!
I'm back to using LUSH Sleepy Shower Gel, it's got a light, lavender scent that has a calming effect and just smells so nice!
4) Extra Skin Care. I feel like I take better care of my skin because I have more time.  I love these Grace & Stella Under Eye Masks and have been using them every morning when I have my coffee.
5) Making soups. I make soups all year long but I tend to make more in the winter. I made two last week....my favorite Slow Cooker Taco Soup and...
I also adapted this soup and made a lighter, vegetarian version that turned out great.

6)Taking indoor walks. I haven't been able to walk outside because it's been too icy so I've been doing some indoor walking workouts. Leslie Sansone is my favorite walking guru.  She always puts me in a good mood. If I can't take all that cheery-ness, I mute her and listen to a podcast.
7) Making New Recipes.  I'm trying new recipes to mix things up and get out of our dinner time rut.  This recipe was really good and easy (I used Costco chicken meatballs).   I have a few others pinned that I want to try as well.

8) More candles! I love having flameless candles on timers and just added these cute Valentine tapers to my collection. They are so realistic, they fooled my hubby!

What are you doing to cope with this winter?

Lately...

Here's what we've been up to lately....
We went to Hawaii (again!). This time was a work trip for Mr. Click and then we had some time to explore Oahu (new island to us). More on our trip later....
It was a great trip but I came back with an unwanted souvenir (I fractured my wrist). :(  I'm doing ok and it's feeling better every day but it was a bummer!
Our return home was delayed due to the East Coast snow storm.  We could not believe all of the snow we had gotten--this was a few days later and the pool house had real icicles on it.
A week later and we're still dealing with the snow and ice. The pool looks like a skating rink.
We did a big stock up at Costco over the weekend.  I got more flowers to brighten up the house.
I'm spending more time on the couch but enjoying my Valentine's Day mug and decorations.
We stopped at this cute coffee shop and I loved their doily paper chain and heart decorations.
I got these cute pineapple socks in Hawaii and they make me smile.
I've been craving a salad from Baked By Melissa and finally made it.  It's her Green Goddess Salad that went viral. It's so good scooped up with tortilla chips.

What have you been up to lately?

{Shopping} Quince

Do you know Quince? I've been shopping on their site for about 2 years and I've been very happy with their products.
I first tried out this crossbody Italian leather handbag for my India trip. I still use it on and off and usually take it on trips.  The taupe color goes with everything and hasn't gotten dirty or worn looking.

I also got this black linen button down for India.  It washes really nicely and is a good basic for my wardrobe.
Last year I ordered their lightweight down packable puffer hooded jacket. I love that it folds down into a pocket attached to the jacket.  It is great for spring, fall and early winter. I just took it on a trip to Hawaii for our ride to/from the airport in NY. I packed it into my carry on once I got to the airport.

I wanted a larger set of cloth napkins and these had great reviews. The terracotta color has remained true and is a good neutral.  If I fold them right out of the dryer, they don't look wrinkled.

I love this cotton cropped cardigan so much that I ordered it another color too. I wore this in some of my Pinterest inspired looks in this post.

I have it in navy but this is one shown in black since navy is not listed as available right now.

My latest clothing purchase was these organic stretch corduroy cropped wide leg pants in warm brown. I love them!  They are so comfy and look cute on.
We also ordered a new suitcase for Mr. Click and he's tested it out on it's first trip. It looks so nice has a lot of great features. I want one too!

Here are some other things I've got my eye on:

Have you ever ordered anything from Quince?
