How can it be Monday already? 

Here's your monthly dose of my Iphone photos from September.

I had just gotten  my rings cleaned and was trying to get a photo of them but look near my coffee cup in the sky. What is it?

{Get Crafty} Upcycled Map Tray and New Link Party!! Friday Favorites #81

Happy Friday! 

I'm going to be co-hosting Friday Favorites, a new (to me) link party where you can share you favorite projects each week.

But before we get to that, here's what I'll be linking up.

Upcycled Map Tray

Remember that tray I found at Good will last week? 

 I painted the sides with chalk paint (Treasure by America Decor Paints from Michael's).

 I had some leftover map pieces from my Back To School Map Banner and used Mod Podge to attach them to the tray.

 I ripped pieces of the map and fit them together like a puzzle.

 I let the first coat of Mod Podge dry (under the map pieces) before adding more to the top. I did 4 coats total on the top.

I love how it turned out and Miss High School immediately claimed it for herself.

I also painted another Mason jar with the new color, I can't stop!!

{Recipe) Butternut Squash Wontons and New Link Party Announcement!!

I know this isn't exactly a pumpkin recipe but in keeping up with my Fall Bucket List to try 3 new savory pumpkin recipes, I first ventured with one made of butternut squash, pumpkin's first cousin (I'm making that up about the cousin).

I saw Hungry Girl's recipe for Oh My Squash! Pot Stickers and changed it up a bit by roasting the butternut squash instead of microwaving it.  I think it gives the filling more flavor when the squash is roasted.  Wontons are so easy to work with and are really low in calorie, I don't know why I always shied away from using them in the past.  Silly me!

These babies are stuffed with squash, carrots and scallions and zing with a hint of ginger.  

The dipping sauce is a blend of soy sauce, vinegar and chili sauce.  

The meal comes together quickly and is perfect for a fall night.
