Thrifted Cigar Box Storage Solution

 I found this great cigar box  at Goodwill on one of my thrifting adventures in January.

It had been sitting on the living room coffee table since I bought it.

That was until yesterday when I cut some roses from my garden and added a shell (also thrifted and so is the vase) to the copper tray in the family room. It looked nice but I needed a little something more and the cigar box did the trick!

It's doing double duty because it corals all of our remotes and other small items(like my mouse and card reader) that I like to keep handy.

Now I have a new, slightly styled area to gaze at when I'm sitting out there.  Miss Middle School even noticed and complimented the arrangement last night! Score!!

{Wordless Wednesday} Niece Day

I spent yesterday with this little cutie and of course I didn't get anything much done. We did manage to do a quick photo shoot since her 5th birthday is coming up.

I kinda love this shot of her. It's straight out of the camera.  I hope to share more with you soon!

{Field Trip}..Part 2

After our visit to The Resource Exchange we had a Part 2 of our day planned.

 It was so nice to have College Girl (aka The Vegan) home for a little while.  She had found a vegan pizza place called Blackbird Pizzeria and we were excited to check it out.

It was SO good!!  We were overwhelmed with the entirely vegan menu but settled on sharing a slice of plain, a slice of Hawaiian (pineapple and smoked tofu) and a slice of potato/onion/garlic/rosemary (my favorite).  

We also sampled a vegan cheesesteak (what?) and vegan buffalo wings (extra spicy). 

 Now Mr Click is a good sport about getting us to the vegan pizza place and he even tried the food but after our lunch, he was ready for his own "real" pizza.   We walked along South Street and it wasn't long before we came to Lorenzo's. 

 The slices there are huge (and a bargain at $3.50!) and he was a very happy camper!

 We did a little more strolling and shopping along South Street (so did this cute puppy apparently).  I went into this little antique shop and I should have bought that Scotch cooler on the stool but I restrained myself. 

It was such a fun day!
