Winter Thrifting

I posted this photo of my latest thrifty finds a few weeks ago on Instagram.
{If you'd like to follow me I'm @heather_ourlife}
I had missed my beloved Goodwill and it was great to be back.
I found a few goodies: two vases, a ceramic spoon/ladle, a cigar box and an outfit-pants and a sweater!
Score!
The vases encouraged me to buy some flowers and brighten up the house. I really love the quilted detail on this white beauty.
I can't decide if this should be a vase or a wine flagon glass. I kid.
Here's the outfit. The (Gap) pants are very long and I hemmed them with some fusible web.
The sweater is super warm and cozy.

Right now the cigar box is just hanging out on a coffee table because I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. I may just leave it as is, I like the designs on it.
This faux sheep skin isn't from the thrift store but it was a major bargain from Home Goods.
I love how it warms up the leather recliner.
Oh, and that ceramic spoon/ladle will probably be showing up in some recipe posts in the future.
Have you found any great deals or treasures lately?

I love all of your thrifty finds! I think my favorite is the throw, it is gorgeous and makes the recliner seem so warm!

I wish we had a Home Goods around here. Especially now that we are getting a house!

Time for a field trip to Goodwill! I remember waaaay back in elementary school when my dad would bring home a cigar box to use in my school desk. Boy, how times have changed :)

I did buy two robin egg utensils for fifty cents each, but that's not a thrilling as your bargains.
I like the cigar box as it is too and your sweet white vase.
Oh yeah, the out-fit is cute too, Heather!

Nice outfit. I like the cigar box.

You could make your home a stinky smokey mess and fill the cigar box with cigars! But don't.....

Those little vases are adorable, but I especially love the white one. I don't know how to describe that pattern, but it's precious. You definitely scored with the outfit, it's really cute!

Nice finds. I would vote to leave the glass container a vase - it looks so pretty with flowers in it.

think I need to stop tonight and get some fresh flowers...

Great thrifty finds -- the little milk glass vase is so sweet and I love the sweater and pants. The Goodwill near me is from hunger -- it always seems so dirty and cluttered that I have stopped going. Fortunately, there are other places nearby to go to instead!
I keep seeing commercials for Home Goods and want (need) to go! There's one fairly close so I'm going to plan an outing there when the cold weather lets up!

Wow, you did well! Maybe next time I should go with you:) It pays to know how to adjust garments, eh?
