Happening & Loving Lately

In no particular order, this is what's been happening/I've been loving lately.
I painted the inside of our front door in the same color as our kitchen island, Sea Cliff Heights by Benjamin Moore. It really brightens up this little spot

I didn't love this, but we had our heating and a/c systems replaced.  This was our disgusting, old furnace so it was badly needed.

We also replaced our old fence.  It looks pretty bad when it's all stacked up like this.

The new one is a major improvement.

We celebrated my birthday with the girls at a local-ish restaurant. They took the ferry over from NYC for the first time and loved it.
One of the neighboring towns was the location for filming Netflix's The Four Seasons-season 2.    This is Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani filming a scene.
It was so cool to see it being shot and to see all of the equipment, people, etc.
These guys were the stand-ins for the above actors.
The day after my birthday dinner we were expecting a pretty bad storm. We got a lot of wind and some rain.
Going out to breakfast at a new to us place.
My mother in law made me this beautiful and intricate bouquet of money roses for my birthday.
Speaking of roses, we had some late blooming knockout roses in the garden that I cut and brought inside.
Adding a little fall decor to the island.
This house had the coolest silhouettes in their windows for Halloween. It was incredible!
City Girl #2 and I saw Wicked For Good last night and I can't stop thinking about it!

What have you been loving lately?

I love the color of your door! That is a great investment of new HVAC systems. I am excited to see the new Wicked movie! And so cool to see a filming crew and all the people that is required for that.

You too are so cute, like little kids waiting for the fun of a storm, ha ha. I love your kitchen island! Mine is tiny. Lately I have been cleaning and sprucing and nesting and getting ready for the best holiday of the year - Thanksgiving! I have the whole week off and it feels amazing. (:

I love the color of your door and you did a great job painting it. It's great to get some home improvements done and I like the new fence. How fun to have the girls take the ferry to your house. How cool to see the filming of The Four Seasons being filmed in your neighborhood. I can't wait for season 2. That roses bouquet is so cool. I am looking forward to seeing wicked for good. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Heather.

The front door and new fence both look fabulous! It sounds like you had a great birthday celebration. My sister and nephews have been extras in a few shows since they live near where many are filmed and they said it's a really neat process to see up close... but you often need to be super patient!

Happy Thanksgiving, this was a fun post Heather. I love your island. Your home is looking so lovey all decorated for autumn. I have that same Autumn cookbook of Susan Branch's.
I am thankful for our blog friendship.
