On a recent Goodwill trip I found this huge bag of old wooden clothespins. I don't know why I was drawn to them but I love the darker patina of the wood compared to new clothespins.
I wanted to use them to decorate the laundry room. I filled up this Crate & Barrel hurricane with a mixture of the pins.
And hoped it would fit in the space above the cabinets. It did!
Here's a close-up.
I had more clothespins, so I filled up this Ikea jar with some of them and placed it on the other side of the cabinets. Mixed in with my thrifted wooden heart bowl, salt cellar and basket, I think it looks pretty nice.
The remaining clothespins (I still have a lot left!) went in the craft drawer. I'm sure some project will come up where I can use them.

Looks good!! I love those old pins!
I love clothespins. They remind me of my great grandmother!
Clothespins glued to a flat board then hung on the wall are an excellent way to display quilts. I use my clothespin the old fashioned way - hanging clothes on the clothesline to dry. It's one of my favorite activities because it makes me slow down. And the clothes smell so good ...
looks VERY cute! What a cute little decor addition to a laundry room! When I had my second son, a friend of mine, took a big basket from Pier 1, attached a clothespin to the basket, and then used long rope, attached little boy outfits to the line with clothespins, so as I looked at the outfits, they kept pulling out, creating one LARGE clothesline! SO CUTE! Maybe you could do that??!
Looks great, Heather... why don't I think of things like that?
Love the old clothespins. I scored some this weekend, too. Now I need to get started on my laundry room. Love your displays.
OMG, that's so cute! I love the way you displayed them.
I am drawn to old clothes pins too. I suppose in some way they remind me of hanging out laundry with my Grandma.
Your laundry room is too cute. I would hang out there. lol

They look great! One of these days I'm going to spruce up my laundry room?!
Clothespins are also good for hanging Christmas cards on cording draped in front of a fireplace mantle. Xmas is just 4 months away....yikes!
