Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Give Me Flowers
I'm having so much fun making little arrangements with the flowers from the garden.

Friendship
We recently went to dinner with friends and each couple brought two bottles of wine. I thought these corks represented our friendship that evening.

That same evening, I snapped a picture of the quiet restaurant before it was busy.
And the four of us walking back after a great meal.

It was one of those sunny then dark and rainy afternoons and we spotted this double rainbow while we were driving in the rain.

Spray painting again!
One of the many joys of Spring, I can get back outside again and spray stuff with paint!
The most recent victim was this little birdcage. It used to look like this and I found it on this thrifting adventure at Goodwill back in November.
It stayed in that "as-is" condition in the garage until I brought it in to decorate the mantel for St Patrick's Day when it looked like this.
There was just enough green on it to go along with the other greenery.
It stayed up there when I decorated for Easter.

The 80's style green and pink decoration kind of worked with the pastels of my other decorations.
Once the Easter decorations came down, the mantel was looking like this.
I'm still digging the creamy whites and neutrals.
But something was sticking out like a sore thumb.
{say that 10 times fast}
Oh and I forgot to mention the price.
Sweet!
So since the weather was finally warm enough, I went to work on the birdcage with some of my favorite Heirloom White spray paint.
Now the mantel is looking like this.
I've added in a few fresh cut flowers from outside for a pop of color.
I think it looks much better now.

Royal Wedding Luncheon
How did you celebrate the Royal Wedding (it feels so long ago now!)?
I was invited to a lovely Royal Wedding Luncheon.
We started out with mimosas.
And there was lots and lots of delicious food.
Appetizers and yummy desserts....
Aren't the British flags cute?
Here's our lovely hostess who was preparing lunch for us.
We were invited to wear our hats and jewels (and she gave us huge pink bling-y rings as favors).
Here I am enjoying my after lunch coffee and watching the dvr'd ceremony.
It was such a fun day, I wish I had thought of it, but then I wouldn't have had such a relaxing Royal Wedding experience.
