Pump Up The (Freezer) Jam!

"Someone" was begging me to make jam in the middle of winter.  We had picked a lot of berries in July at our favorite pick your own farm and they were still in the freezer so we decided to make some. I found these freezer jam jars and we used the recipe for the freezer jam in the pectin box. Super easy and tasty and we still have some in our freezer! All you do is mix 4 cups of fruit, 1 1/2 cups of sugar and the pectin. No cooking needed!! Ladle into the containers and freeze until needed. Defrost a jar and spread that tart and sweet goodness on something.

Donating Their Locks

Both of my girls have  donated their hair to different organizations.  It takes a long time to grow it out so that it's long enough to donate. Big Sis did it last Spring.  She donated hers to Locks of Love where you 10 inches of hair in order to donate.

Her little sister started growing her hair out and wanted to donate it as well.  Her hair is very thick and seems to take a long time to grow. We found out about Pantene Beautiful Lengths and that you only had to donate 8 inches. They do not charge for their wigs which is wonderful!!

Now she's ready to mail it in!

April Fool's Fun!

I always love the ideas in Family Fun magazine for April Fool's pranks. Last year we made these delicious chicken not pies.

The "pie" itself is made out of vanilla pudding with chunks of white chocolate "chicken" with peas and carrots candy.  The top crust was baked by itself and then just placed on top. I had real pot pies in the oven after the prank was revealed and we ate these for dessert.
