Latest Trader Joe's Haul and Staples

My first Trader Joe's trip of the year and it was a good one!

I was thrilled that my TJ's had the new Kale Gnocchi, I've heard mixed reviews about it. Some like it more that TJ's Cauliflower Gnocchi and some like the Kale better. I haven't tried it yet and I'm looking forward to it.

I never noticed this Garlic Spread/Dip until I saw people raving about it in a vegan Trader Joe's group.  A little goes a long way and it is great with pasta, spread on bread to make garlic bread or in a grilled cheese.

You can see we broke into this bag of Rose Fingerling Potato Chips before I got a photo. These chips are so good! They are a little thicker than regular potato chips and have a delicious potato taste.

I'm picky about vegan yogurt and don't like most of them but I gave this cashew based one a try  and really liked it.

They were demo-ing these Cosmic apples at my TJ's so I got to try them. They are huge and similar to a Honey Crisp.

What would go perfectly with those apples but some of this Chocolate Hummus. This stuff is creamy, chocolatey with just the right amount of sweet (not too much). Also good on bananas and graham crackers!

I've tried a few Lightlife products but the Smart Tenders were new to me. They were delicious sautéed up, on top of a salad and are packed full of plant based protein. I will definitely be getting these again.

I was craving some cereal but also granola so I bought this.  It's good on the above yogurt with some fruit.

I hadn't seen these particular boxed soups before.  They're in my pantry for when the a soup craving hits.

I also got into these Sun Dried Apricots before taking the photo. They are perfectly snack sized and come in a set of three. I used them on my book club charcuterie board.

I don't know how I hadn't tried the slim version of Joe-Joe's before now.  So many cookies, so little time!

I think I should have bought a case of this Secco Grapefruit Pompelini, it was such a hit with our guests at Christmas morning brunch.  It's not too sweet, bubbly and with just the right amount of grapefruit juice.

These are some of the pantry staples that I get and happened to be buying on this trip.   The nutritional yeast is great in recipes for adding a cheesy taste.  I love the Panko breadcrumbs when I need a crunchy topping. The raw hemp seeds are a good deal at TJ's. I sprinkle them on top of oatmeal or salads. I've also used them to make salad dressing by subbing them for other nuts.  They're a healthy fat and a good source of protein.

I'm addicted to this Vegan Kale, Cashew & Basil Pesto! Like the garlic spread, a little goes a long way.
