Is my child the only one who is sad on the last day of school?
On a side note, I had to smell her yearbook..they have that fresh yearbook smell that brings back so many memories.

Touched my heart this morning Heather with your words. Smelling the year book-memories! Amazing at how the little things such as that brings back memories and yet there are new ones to make! Mine starts celebrating at least two weeks before the last day of school that it is almost Summer....it is not a good thing! I wish he liked it more - I have high hopes for junior high!
Sometimes I would be sad...but other times (especially as a teacher) I'm very very excited!!
I had two boys. I know they were never sad. One of grand daughter may have been a little sad at times now she is out and going to start college.
When I was her age I was always a bit sad too, and I didn't even like school all that much. It's that closing of a chapter thing.
