June Daily Goodie Box

{Disclaimer: I was given a Daily Goodie Box to review but all opinions are my own}
There hasn't been a Daily Goodie Box in two months so I was excited to get this month's box!
Daily Goodie Box- It's More Than Just Free Samples!
Let's see what we've got.
Built Bar - Coconut Almond and Peanut Butter Protein Bars https://builtbar.com/collections/amazing-flavors/bars
These protein bars seem to be a favorite among fitness professionals and athletes.

These energy gummies are the perfect blend of carbs and caffeine.  They are made with guarana which contains natural caffeine = 1/3 cup of coffee.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that these snacks are loaded with flavor and crunch. I love that they're made from healthy ancient grains.
These European handcrafted chocolate covered caramels look addictive.

DRY Soda Company - Vanilla Sparkling Soda https://www.drysoda.com/dry-sparkling
From the company's website - While DRY is technically a soda – a carbonated drink – we have found that the name is kind of confusing. We wanted to find a name that better explained what we are! We are a simple, 4 ingredient bubbly drink that works to elevate non-alcoholic drinking.  We use cane sugar to naturally elevate the flavor (only 9 g of sugar) to create a lightly sweet, sophisticated profile that is perfect on it’s own, pair with foods and to create best-in-class craft zero-proof cocktails.

Reed’s - Wellness Ginger Shots https://www.drinkreeds.com/products/#shots
I know Reed's from their ginger beer so I was intrigued by the wellness ginger shots.  They are a convenient way to get a daily dose of ginger!
This daytime formula is lighter and has all of the benefits of lanolin without being too heavy on the skin.  Not tested on animals.

This was another great box!! You can sign up for own Daily Goodie Box here, no credit card is ever needed!

Latest Trader Joe's Finds

I finally made it to TJ's!! I hadn't been there since February and I was really missing it so College Girl and I made the trip.  In spite of the long line to get in, it was a wonderfully pleasant shopping experience (and totally worth it!).  The store was well stocked and limiting the number of shoppers made it so much nicer to shop.
I love trying their small batch coffees. This one was so yummy!
College Girl picked up this granola. It's so good on smoothie bowls.
Since we've got dairy eaters in the house, we picked up some of the TJ's Organic Plain Whole Milk Yogurt to try.  (They said it was good but not thick like Greek yogurt).
We also picked up some whipped cream cheese and ricotta cheese (the whole milk version is a treat!).
I got some yogurt too. I love this line of almond yogurt and mango flavor was the best I've tried!
I'm not the biggest fan of chocolate and cherry together but I'm glad I tried this. Sooo good!
We decided to try some IPA's as well and picked up these two.

Both are tasty and refreshing!
We got some of their Ginger Beer for making Moscow mules.
And....Tequila for margaritas.  Liquor stores have been closed in our state so it was nice to stock up a little.
This isn't new but I'm loving the newly designed can. It's so much easier to open!
You saw this in my last Skin Care Post but I bought it on this trip.

My Latest Skincare Routine

It was time I got serious with my skin care and when a friend told me that her dermatologist had recommended The Ordinary for dry skin, I started looking into the company.
This was the product that started it all.
The AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ($7.20/30ml)was the first product that I tried.  It's an exfoliating solution that contains 30% alpha hydroxy acid and  2% beta hydroxy acid.   The dark red color is definitely an eye catcher. While researching the product, I found out that the peel's ingredients help diminish the look of blemishes while smoothing the look of the skin's texture and I'm using it for dryness and dullness. I'll be honest, it stings a little when you put it on (but to me  that is a sign it's working!). It's a 10 minute peel and should be used no more than twice a week. It leaves my skin feeling super soft.
You definitely have to do your research with their products to figure out what to get. I watched a few youtube videos and also read reviews as well as information on The Ordinary website.  These are the serums I've been adding to my routine.
  • I use Niacininamide 10% + Zinc 1%  ($5.90/30ml) as a spot treatment at night for my pores and dark spots.
  • I use the Alpha Abutin 2% + HA  ($8.90/30ml) serum in the morning after I cleanse my face to help with spot and hyper pigmentation. I use CeraVe Hydrating Face Cleanser to wash my face.
  • I use Matrixyl 10% + HA ($11.50/30ml)morning and evening to help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

I've also added these products into my routine.

I've been using this Mineral Sunscreen Stick in the morning after applying my moisturizer.
I'm no expert but it feels good to have a skin care routine that I can stick to. My skin feels softer and definitely less dry.  I also appreciate the very reasonable price points of all The Ordinary products.  I'm sure I'll keep trying new things and fine tuning my routine.

{Photography} Springtime Photo Shoot

I got to do a quick photo shoot of College Girl on Mother's Day.
It felt so good to get behind the camera again!
I've really missed photography and cannot wait to get back to my clients!
I had so much fun editing these shots.
She was a good sport.  I'm a little rusty!
I need to keep my skills up so I'm hoping for more 'family models' in the near future.
