Christmas Presents From Amazon

Here's a round up of some of the gifts I received or purchased this year from Amazon.

Essential Oil Diffuser

This is my second diffuser, I wanted one for the bedroom and this wooden one is so pretty, I love how the color of the light can change or even be turned off completely.

White Noise Machine

We're trying this white noise machine.  I'll let you know how it goes. It is battery operated and lightweight so it can travel with you but it also comes with an AC cord.

Jade Roller

I've wanted to try one of these face rollers for awhile.  I don't know if all its beauty claims are real but it feels so good to roll it on my face, it's so cool and calming.

Glass Straws

These are seriously becoming my favorite thing! I LOVE drinking out of a glass straw, I feel so fancy and everything just tastes better.

Tofu Press

I asked for this upgraded tofu press so I could pass my other one onto City Girl. The press does the hard work of pressing liquid out of the tofu and then it's ready for going into all of my favorite recipes.

Alta HR FitBit Replacement Band (Rose Gold)

I was also gifted a new Alta HR FitBit and got this replacement band in rose gold to go with it.

Weighted Blanket

College Girl asked for a weighted blanket and I settled on this one. You can read about their benefits here but it's meant to help with many sleep issues.

Duvet Cover for Blanket

I also got her this cozy duvet cover for the blanket.

Smartphone Picture Printer

This was another gift for College Girl, it's a photo printer that prints directly from your Smartphone and uses Instax film.   It doesn't need any batteries or power cord either so it can go anywhere.

Portable Charger

She also asked for this portable charger, it's an upgrade from the earlier versions we had.  She said it's been great and holds a lot of charge so she doesn't worry about her phone dying while she's out.

French Press Coffee Maker

City Girl asked for this French Press. It's got such a sleek design.

Heavyweight Tape Dispenser

After all of my wrapping and frustration with our jumpy tape dispensers, I knew there had to be a better way so I ordered this bad boy for myself. It's truly a one handed tape dispenser and I love that I can put a roll of packing tape on it as well.

New (To Me) On Netflix To Watch

I always like getting show recommendations and discovering new shows on Netflix.  Here are some of my recent faves.

Tidying Up

I loved Marie Kondo's book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and her new show on Netflix is a satisfying extension of the book.  She helps people organize their homes and lives. Her sweet and calm demeanor makes this show such a pleasure to watch.

Derry Girls

My girls recommended this show and I really enjoyed it. Only 6 episodes so it's easily binge-able. Set in Londonderry, Ireland in the 90's, it follows five high school students during the political unrest of the time.  It's very funny!

Dumplin'

This was such a feel good movie. I watched it with my daughters over the break. The Dolly Parton soundtrack is so great too, I can't get the songs out of my head!


Stay Here

I watched this show awhile ago but I don't think I've ever shared it.  Remember decorating superstar Genevieve Gorder from Trading Spaces and HGTV? Well she's got a new show where she fixes up failing Airbnbs and with the help of a real estate expert.  The locations are all pretty amazing and makes the show that much more entertaining.

Bird Box

This movie had a lot of buzz over the holiday break. Did you watch it? I read the book so I was excited to see the movie.   It's a psychological thriller but probably not as scary for me since I'd read the book.   There are some differences from the book but I still thought it was good and Mr. Click liked it too!

{Travel} Dublin Day 10-Morning Campus Tour & Flight Home

It was our last day in Dublin and time to go home. To catch up on our journey, start here in Edinburgh.

After checking out of our Airbnb we met up with College Girl for breakfast and then got to tour her campus.

 It was such a pretty campus!

She had to go to class and we had to get to the airport so it was a quick good bye.

 Once we got through security and US Customs (so much easier doing it before take off), we picked up some food for lunch.

 Sitting in our gate and watching the planes.

 Dinner on board.  We lucked out on the way home because it wasn't a full flight and we could spread out and get our own row.

Landing in Philly to a beautiful sunset It was such a special trip, thanks for coming along with us!

{TBB Asks} January 2019 - Keep Me Entertained

Books you have read multiple times: I don't re-read books very often.  The Little House on The Prairie & Harry Potter series are two that I've read more than once.

Favorite book/author of all time: This is WAY too hard!

Favorite TV show to binge: I can watch Arrested Development any time and laugh at something new or something I've laughed at multiple times.

Favorite new-ish TV show: Get a Room with Carson & Thom on Bravo. They've still got it!

Favorite movie of all time: Another toughie!! I always say The Big Chill but I haven't seen it in a long time!

Movie you are looking forward to watching: Where'd You Go Bernadette. I feel like I've been waiting forever for this movie to come out!
