{Photography} Prom Time

Prom season has come and gone around here but the (photo) memories will last forever.

 I can't pass up a boutonniére shot.

 I was lucky enough to take my niece's pre-prom photos.

 Gorgeous girl and location.

 I always have to get those flower shots!

 Who doesn't love a casual gazebo shot?

It was fun (and not as stressful) to take someone else's kid's prom photos.  Do you remember your prom?

{DIY} Tiny Table Makeover

This was such a quick and easy makeover! #spraypaintlove

The little side table started out like this.  I got it at Target about five years ago and its lived on our front porch ever since.   You can see it in the photo below from a previous post.

{New Porch Rug}

It no longer worked out there but I didn't want to get rid of it without at least trying to give it a makeover.  I used one can of Rustoleum Metallic Paint and Primer in Oil Rubbed Bronze.

 I love the result! 

 Now I'm using it out on the deck where it matches our new deck furniture (more on that in an upcoming post).   Don't you love my fluffy asparagus fern? (Thank you Cindy for  inspiring me to get one!) ❤️

 It's a great spot to hold a book and a drink too.

For reference I spray painted the top and bottom of the table top.

..and now in its oil rubbed bronze glory!

{Entertaining} Eagle Scout Ceremony

My nephew recently became an Eagle Scout and my sister threw an amazing party for his amazing achievement.

The ceremony and celebration were both held in a VFW Post.

I would say the theme was vintage Eagle/Boy Scout.

She decorated the tables with burlap runners, red lanterns, pinecones...

 ...and flower arrangements in these cute metal cans.  She added a Boy Scout quality to each arrangement.

 The buffet was decorated with more flowers and a pitcher of arrows.

 Bandanas served as napkins and we got to take them home too (of course I know she must have ironed each one!).

 The highlight of the food was this fun trail mix bar.

 It was a hit with the other Scouts for sure.

 The very proud parents and sister.

He's on to (more)  great things, I tell ya!
