{Travel} Vegas, Baby!

We took a quick trip to Las Vegas last month and it was so much fun!

This was my first time in Vegas so everything was new to me (like slot machines in the airport!).

We stayed at the lovely Elara Hilton Grand Vacations. It was a great location for us and we also liked that it wasn't a casino.  We were connected to the Miracle Mile shopping and restaurants which was nice too.

After checking in, we headed out for some dinner.  Our first stop was Cabo Wabo for some Waboritas and food.  We had a great view of the strip and could see the Bellagio light show from where we ate dinner.

We were pretty tired but took a little walk around the strip after dinner.  It's definitely sensory overload!  We tried to stay up as late as possible to get on Pacific time.

Of course we were up early.  What a view from our room!

We looked for a place to have breakfast along the way and chose Salt & Ivy in the Aria Resort & Casino.  I loved this avocado toast.

We were done breakfast and walking over to the Luxor before 10am.

We wanted to check out the King Tut Experience there.

We were early (of course) so we checked out the casino, walked around and picked up our tickets (once the ticket office opened).

It was a walk through exhibit and we did the audio tour as well.  We learned a lot!

After that we ubered over to old part of Vegas called Fremont Street. Mr. Click had to play one machine for his mom (took a picture for her too).

We walked around and it was pretty cool to see all of the old signage and buildings.

We went to Paris for lunch back on the strip.

We passed Vanderpump x Paris (only open for dinner)...

...and Martha Stewart's new restaurant Bedford (also only open for dinner).

We had a delicious lunch at Gordon Ramsay Burger. It was one of the best vegan burgers I've ever had!

Getting ready for our night out.  Yes, it was cold when we were there so tights, boots and sweaters were necessary.

This never gets old!

We had tickets to LOVE by Cirque du Soleil.

It was so amazing! I would go back to Vegas just to see that ten more times!!

We had dinner in the Venetian at Canaletto Ristorante. The minestrone and bruschetta were delish!

The next morning we were back at The Venetian.  It did remind us of our Italy trip! We had a hard time finding Truth & Tonic for our breakfast reservation and we saw way more of the hotel than we expected. Finally a nice security guard told us the tip for finding it!!  It's on a guest floor so you have to go through another security guard to get to those elevators. phew!

The breakfast tacos were yummy!

After breakfast we took a walk over to the Bellagio to check out the decor (can you tell we are not gamblers?).  This ceiling was stunning!

They were in the process of putting up the Christmas display that I'm sure is breathtaking.

We headed back to Paris and Mon Ami Gabi Bistro for a little snack and champagne. Mais oui!    It was so nice to sit out in the sunshine and people watch.

We wanted to see another show and chose Blue Man Group. It was...different for sure!

I was most excited about Crossroads Kitchen in Resorts World Casino.  We had a late dinner reservation and ubered over after the show.

I wanted to try everything on the menu (sigh)!  Everything that we ordered was amazing!!

It was the perfect way to end our little trip to Vegas.

{Photography} Engagement Photo Shoot

 I got to photograph the sweetest couple for their engagement shoot.

The groom-to-be's mom gifted them with the session.

We had the most beautiful fall day at a local park for shooting this adorable couple.

It was such a fun shoot because they were up for anything I suggested.   They had some great ideas as well.

The bride-to-be told me that they were both book and video game lovers so we made sure to incorporate some of that into their session.

They brought the props and I brought my camera!

I kept calling them "most likely to cuddle" because they were so cute together.  What a special shoot for me!

TikTok Made Me Do It -$5 Dollar Tree Shelf

Here's another project that "TikTok made me do!".  

It's a $5 shelf/organizer and I thought it was so cute when I saw it on TikTok. 

The supplies needed are two (or three) of the mini wooden crates and two of the side planks--all found at DT.  I also used hot glue, a foam brush and some stain that I had on hand.  I glued it together and tried to use a staple gun to secure it but mine wasn't working that well and I ran out of staples.  So far, the hot glue is holding up well.

I stained it and let it dry.  

I knew I wanted to use it on my vanity in the bathroom. There is never enough space on there.

It gives me more vertical storage without taking up much counter space. Not bad for $5 and about 15 minutes.

 I think it's so cute and it's been working out well to hold my skin care items. What do you think?
