September's Daily Goodie Box came while I was away but of course I was happy to see it when I got home.

I've been using Natralia's products for  awhile now and I really like the simple natural ingredients. This Anti Itch cream is cortisone free and relieves itching in 15 minutes.

I had never heard of odor neutralizing hand wash so I'll let them explain.

{Recipe} Tropical Dump Cake-In the Crock Pot

This is the perfect "cake" to make in the summer because you don't have to turn on your oven. It's all done in the crock pot and you literally just dump the ingredients in and turn it on.  It uses frozen fruit so you can have that tropical taste all year long.

I found the recipe here and just tweaked it because I couldn't find any sugar free cake mix so I improvised and made my own.

Ingredients:

3 cups frozen pineapple chunks
2 cups frozen mango chunks
1 1/2 TBS cornstarch
3 packets of no calorie sweetener (I use Zing stevia)
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2-1 cup sugar (I used Swerve sweetener)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
2 tsp coconut extract
optional toppings: shredded coconut, whipped topping

To make:

• Spray crock pot with non stick spray
• Add fruit, cornstarch and sweetener and stir to combine
• In a medium bowl combine remaining ingredients (flour through coconut extract) and stir until mostly smooth
• Transfer cake batter to crock pot and spread over the fruit
• Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or until topping is golden brown and firm
• Enjoy hot, warm or chilled (makes 8 servings)

I like the added optional toppings of shredded coconut and whipped topping.

{The Abode} Updated Lighting in the Master Bedroom

This little vanity nook in the master bedroom had been way overdue for an upgrade.

I got very lucky while perusing Facebook Marketplace one day and saw this light fixture for sale for $10-brand new! 

 It's a Scott Living (Property Brothers) light and still retails for around $40.  It sat in the garage most of the summer until we finally got the gumption to try and install it.

Before I knew it, the old fixture was down.

It looks even worse on the ground!

The new fixture's mounting bracket was smaller than the old one but we knew we'd have some painting to do.

We decided to hang it with the  shades going down.

The new bulbs are so bright.  It was a small update but gives the vanity and updated look and I love it!
