We had a stay-cation day this summer and made it to the beach!
We had a free weekday and decided we would make it a stay-cation. I got ready for the beach and we packed up the car. It's a much quicker drive these days...we could walk but we had a lot of stuff.
This was our first true beach day of the season and it was a beautiful day!
Just hanging out with my book and my braids.
We like to be completely covered under the umbrellas.
It was getting hot so we headed home for a dip in the pool.
Later, we went to see The Fantastic Four First Steps movie and loved it.
We ended the day with dinner at a new-to-us Mexican restaurant. Yum! That was way too many chips (if you wanted salsa and guac you got chips with each) so we took a box of them home.

That sounds like lots of fun. We've tried stay-cations a few times when the boys were younger but my husband is really bad at not going to work "for just a few minutes to help out"... and spending the day there. I've learned to take him far enough away that any problems can only be handled by phone. LOL
i love a stay Rion idea! of course a pool helps! some months are a staycation! just got back from sequoia national park!
Mexican food is perfect for a staycation! Looks like a perfect beach day.
