{Travel} Dublin Day 9 Shopping & Live Music

One of the best things about our Airbnb in Ireland was this Nespresso coffee maker.

Day 9 of our trip started out with some of that coffee.

OOTD:

Black Jeggings: Target

Flannel: J Crew

Sweater: Primark

Shoes: TOMS

College Girl was meeting us for lunch but we were on our own until then and found another cute cafe for breakfast.

We decided to do some serious shopping that morning and hit the mall (shopping center).

These yetis sang and danced if you pressed a button and of course we did!

I discovered a whole Marks and Spencer store inside the shopping center. I was in food shopping heaven!

It was near the end of our trip or I would have done a little real shopping not just browsing.

We met College Girl for lunch at Bóbós. They are known for their burgers but also had veggie burgers.

I loved these big enamel pitchers they served water with on the tables. She did a little shopping with us after lunch but we were on our own for dinner that night.

We went to Yamamori Noodles and I had Ramen that was delish!

The bowl was huge and so filling!

It was our last night in Dublin so we went into Temple Bar for some live music.

We didn't go in the actual bar, but the area known as Temple Bar.

We checked out a place that our daughter and her friends liked to go to for live music called Fitzsimons.

It was a lot of fun but pretty quiet on a Wednesday night (no rowdy college kids!).

Just some American parents sending their college kid a selfie from the bar.

Dublin is so pretty at night!

{Travel} Dublin Day/Night 8-Northside Walking Tour

In my last post, we had just toured the Guinness Storehouse and we were enjoying our complimentary pints(included in admission).

I turned into an Irish red fox after about one quarter of the way through the pint. That was enough for me.

We left and walked back into the city centre in search of lunch.

We had passed Apertivo and noticed their sign for vegan pizza quite a few times so we decided to stop there and try it. I ordered this special.

It was so good and had so many mushrooms, maybe even too many for me!

In the afternoon we were signed up with Dublin Free Walking Tours for a tour of the Northside. You meet up with the tour guide at the Spire of Dublin and can spot them by their yellow umbrellas.

It was pouring and there were only 4 of us on the tour but it was like a nice private tour.

Our tour guide was really awesome and I'm so glad we didn't let the rain keep us from learning so much about the history that took place right on these streets.

The Garden of Remembrance was especially moving and beautiful.

This plaque is a replica of the letter that Irish rebel leader The O'Rahilly wrote to his wife as he lay dying on the street. You can read the whole story here.

The Famine Memorial was striking and powerful.

The tour finished up where it started at the GPO (General Post Office-site of the 1916 uprising). It was such a worthwhile tour, I highly recommend it!
