Keeping it natural

I found this twig birdcage on one of my thrifting adventures and wasn't sure if I'd paint it or keep it au naturel.  The little door slides up and down.  It has a "floor" also but that doesn't work when it's on a table.  I have it sitting on a round mirror.
It's got some real and flameless candles in it, a few shells and some mini bird nests. I found a star fish at Michael's the other day and I think it finally looks done.
So for now, it's staying 'as is'.

Very nice, where's it going in your house?

That's gorgeous, I would definitely leave it as is! Aren't flameless candles one of the best inventions ever?

Petie, it's in the entryway.

Hey, sometimes guilding the lily is superfluous, and sometimes it's just okay for now. It's a cool piece, period.

I love things just as I found them, but everyone has a different opinion. Whatever makes you happy. Great find!

Looks great just like you have it or painted would look nice, too.

Hi Heather, what a great find. The bird house is adorable and you have styled it wonderfully. I think it looks great the way it is and when you need a change you can always paint it then! xx

I saw your post about this over the weekend and didn't get a chance to comment. Very neat. I like it the way it is also.
