Scavenger Hunt Sunday 5.27.12

Beneath Your Feet
Another fire pit shot with my feet on it.

Capturing Movement
This one could also go under Facing my Fears. My daughter leaving her school for the last time after Class Day. Wow!

This spider web was so beautiful when I walked outside this morning.  I was having trouble getting a good shot though because the sun was so intense.
Facing Your Fears
This prompt kind of stumped me (see above) but wearing this "wild" animal print dress was out of my comfort zone for sure (but it was $4 at Goodwill..woo hoo!).
Working on printables for my daughter's grad party.

{Retail Therapy} Crate & Barrel

{You may have seen this picture in my Friday Phone Dump last week.}

 I've had a C & B gift card burning a hole in my purse since Christmas (thanks Mom!) and I've been waiting for the right time to spend it.
 Since I've got the graduation party quickly approaching, I figured now was the right time.  I was looking for indoor/outdoor entertaining goods. These little candle cups are more for inside but I couldn't resist their shiny goodness. See how they are gold on the inside for even more shimmer?
Here's my daughter lighting the tea lights for me.
I also found this silicone covered whisk for my non stick pans that I don't want to ruin.
 I've been eyeing up these acrylic wine glasses since this trip last year.  They come in green and orange too but I went with classic clear.  They stack and don't they don't take up too much storage space and are perfect for outside(and me!).
In fact, I used them at our wine tasting last weekend.  They are also the perfect size for that. They remind me of the wine glasses from the pool bar at this resort.
I managed to score a few other items as well (for the party) but I haven't had a chance to photograph them.
This is the the Artesia Flatware Caddy and

this is the Flow Chip & Dip.
I also picked up this cute Cupcake Corer my baking-loving daughters.

We managed to cross more items off of our project list this weekend-and I added a few more.

Preppin' for the Party

I feel like I haven't had much to blog about lately but that's so not true...I can show you what we've been up to as we prepare the house and yard for our grad's party.  I've crossed out what we've accomplished so far.
Mail Out Invitations
Organize Garage
{from this)
{to this}

Assemble Fire Pit
Clean up Deck
Plant Flowers
{in progress}
in pots and in the gardens...
{much better!}
Repair/Stain Small Deck/Staircase

{Replaced a few steps, power washed and stained to match our big deck.}

Order Party Supplies
{taking over the dining room table!}
Makeover Garden Bench

 Paint we already had...

 {to prett-i-ful}
Finish School!
woo to the hoo!
Clean Up Lower Patio

With the exception of buying the fire pit and flowers, all of these projects were FREE!!
We still have a lot more to do in the upcoming weeks, like:
Power Wash House
Touch Up Outdoor Paint
Move Gazebo
Plant Bulbs and More Flowers
and I'm sure many more things that I've forgotten about.
This method of taking a picture of something I want done has been very effective. I'm hoping it works on this swing that's been waiting for a hanging place for 6+ years.
What have you been up to?
