{Travel} Chicago Night 2-Theatre District & Navy Pier

I'm back with our Chicago trip, if you need to catch up with part 1, click here. After a day of college touring and lunch in beautiful Evanston, Illinois (plus a trip to Whole Foods) we went back to our hotel to rest a little before our night out.
Our first stop was going to see the iconic Chicago sign in the theatre district(thanks to Katie Stories blog (@katiestories13 on Instagram) for all of the fabulous Chicago sightseeing information!!  She was a huge help in planning our trip.
Trying to get a shot of Miss High School under the marquis.
 Walking around town...
we passed this live news broadcast, talk about being in a fishbowl!
It was fun to explore this part of the city but we were also getting hungry and looking for a place for dinner.
Miss Ricky's fit the bill.  Doesn't this place look like fun?
Hubs got the fried chicken platter.
Miss H. S. was in the mood for breakfast and this waffle was perfect.
I had a very generous hummus platter and a big salad (with a little glass of rosé!). If you ever make it to Miss Ricky's, make sure you check out the Virgin Hotel it's attached to. We went in there to use the rest room and it had the coolest decor and common spaces like the funny library and the shag room.

After dinner we took an Uber over to Navy Pier.
It looked so pretty at night!
This fountain was across the street from Navy Pier.
Looking up at the ferris wheel.
We found a cool mirrored selfie spot.
A beautiful view of the skyline.

 Walking along the Navy Pier...
 More stunning views!
 On our way out...
and one last shot of the fountain.

Change Up Your Look with Divatress

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post, all opinions are mine.

When I was contacted to team up with Divatress, a leading beauty e-commerce company that offers hair care products and natural looking wigs, I was excited to check out what's new in wig fashion.  Divatress offers lace front wigs in so many options.

While perusing their site I found some beautiful styles, all styles that I would have fun trying out.  The company caters to all kind of women and beauty professionals and the prices are very reasonable.  My hair never grows too long and whenever I do try growing out, it gets to a point where it just gets straggly looking and I get fed up with it.  Then it's time for a cut!  How fun would it be to have a full head of gorgeous curls instantly?

Or to try out a sleek look like this that would never get frizzy and would always look perfect no matter the weather?
I love how you can see how the back of the wigs looks too.  This color is so pretty and natural looking.

A two tone look is kind of on trend right now.  You can try out the look without the commitment.

Speaking of trends, "mermaid" hair coloring and just about every color of the rainbow is popular right. I think it would be fun to try it out but not for my everyday life.

It would also be fun to switch up my hair color to a dark shade with some bouncy curls and all that length.

The back of this lace front wig sure is a head turner!

I'm crazy about these shorter curls too and it's a Viveca A. Fox style. She's got her own line of wigs with Divatress.  Who knew? Now we do!
Have you ever switched up your look with a wig?

{Travel} Chicago Night 1/Day 2

At the end of summer we squeezed in one more college tour Chicago!
The flights and hotel prices were great in late August and we couldn't pass up the good deals. The weather looked like it was going to be ok too!
We had a night flight out on a Sunday. I didn't mind it because it gave me extra time to pack and get the house ready. Miss High School had to work in the morning as well.
I haven't been to an airport in awhile.  I thought this virtual library hot spot in the Philadelphia Airport was pretty cool!  Flying at night was nice because the airport wasn't crowded either.
 On our way!
We flew into Midway Airport and headed to our hotel. We stayed at the Hilton Chicago Magnificent Mile Suites which seemed to be in a great central location. We checked out the hotel's BBQ restaurant for a little snack when we arrived. I love the tables here.
It started to pour while we were in the restaurant, touring the city would have to wait until the morning.
Back in our hotel room, Mr Click and I watched the season finale of Game of Thrones with a little vino.
Waking up to this view was amazing!
 Especially with some coffee!!
We had an afternoon tour scheduled since we had gotten in pretty late the night before. After breakfast at the hotel we went out to explore our new neighborhood.   We stopped at the Fourth Presbyterian Church for some photos. What a beautiful garden sanctuary!
More photos of the city as we explored that morning.
Rooftop pool at the hotel.
We took an Uber ride to Evanston, Illinois to visit Northwestern University. The Evanston neighborhood reminded me of the houses from the movie Home Alone. So beautiful!
May I please go back to college? This is Chicago? It felt more like California on this day.  I'm sure February is a different story but still pretty.
Before the tour we walked around campus for a bit and got some photos with the Chicago skyline in the background.

{Get Organized} Make Up & Jewelry Organization

This was my make up area before.  The organizer was old, dirty and falling apart(sounds familiar!).  When I reorganized our master bedroom linen closet I had a few bins left over so I decided to tackle the dreaded make up area which is right next to the closet.
I started by getting rid of the old organizer and going through my make up, purging what what I no longer used or needed.
With a few tweaks, I was able to find places for all of my make up, hair products and accessories.  The vanity area stays and looks so much cleaner.
Everything is visible and neatly organized now.
Pairing down my make up has made it easier to get ready.
The only new purchase was this bracelet tree that I found at TJ Maxx.  It's a great, vertical solution for bracelets.  It feels good to have another area tackled and tamed!
