It was time to set them free....
One at a time, so we could say our goodbyes....
Were they staying or going?
They started to draw a crowd of neighborhood kids...everyone wanted to let one go.
Let's see if they like the flowers.....
They seemed to like the grass too...

Aww, such lovely butterflies. I bet that was sad to see them go :( Sure was fun watching them develop. Thanks for sharing the journey.
It was a little sad but also a relief to let them go and enjoy their lives outside (and not to worry about taking care of them anymore)

we did butterflies this year too! My kids and preschoolers really loved them. Can you believe I didn't take a single picture of the process. Next year I will have to do better.

Great job! Maybe they'll stay close if they like your flowers. Our latest growing project is a Venus Fly Trap. Supposed to take 1-3 months to grow....summer project :)
