{Spotted} Easter Decorations Everywhere

I noticed a couple weeks ago that Easter and Spring decorations were on the shelves.
These adorable bunny plates and chargers caught my eye at Michael's.
The chargers came in different pastel colors and there were a few different bunny portraits to choose from.  My phone battery died or I would have taken a lot more combination photos.
TJ Maxx had soooo many cute things!
Dollar Tree also was fully stocked with Easter swag.
They had some fun wooden signs (like they did for Valentine's Day).

They also had lots of basket stuffers.
On my weekly trek to Tar-jay, the Dollar Spot was already looking picked over in the Easter department.
I thought the bunny domes in the Magnolia Home section were especially sweet.
The pastel dishes and ceramic bunnies get me every time.
I don't know why I'm so drawn to Easter decorations but I know that I don't need anything right now so I resisted the urge to buy it all. Besides, I'm not ready to decorate for Easter, I just pulled out the St. Patrick's Day decor!

{The Abode} Basement Progress: Novogratz Sofa

When we last discussed our basement redecoration, we had sold the sectional and were awaiting our new sofa.  To see where we started, click here.
Well she's here and she's gorgeous! The tufted sleeper sofa is from the Novogratz line at Walmart (and on sale now for $299!!). It looked more emerald green online but in person, I'd say it's a moss green.
I was nervous about how it would look considering this is how it arrived (those are raindrops all over the beat up box too!).
But once we started opening the box and looking at the pieces, we could see that it was in surprisingly good condition.
It was pretty easy to assemble and I'm so thrilled it!
Here's a shot of the fireplace/tv console.  I took the rug from Mr. Click's home office but it's just a placeholder for now.  We also tucked a slipcovered bench under the staircase (from the master bedroom).  I was washing the slipcover so I'll have to get a better photo of it for you.
We're still planning to add a bar height table behind the sofa with a couple of bar stools for extra seating.
The bookcases are painted and anchored together now. I have a lot of storage for my photography props now.  The room is coming together and I would say it's about 85% done.

The Dirty Vegan Cookbook

Winner, winner, vegan dinner!
I won this cookbook on the lovely Jessica's blog Barefoot By The Sea. Score!
The recipes are simple and easy to follow, comfort food favorites.
I haven't had a chance to make anything yet and I'm having a hard deciding what to make. It all looks so good!
I will keep you posted when I do make one of these mouthwatering dishes.
I'll post the results, of course!
What's your vote for my first recipe to try?

Four On Friday

Happy Friday! Here's what I've been...

Making....this amazing Oh She Glows 10 Spice Vegetable Soup. It was perfect for the little snow storm we got over the weekend.  This soup was creamy, comforting, healthy and had just the right to kick to it with the 10 spice blend. It's vegan and freezer friendly. Definitely a winner in my book!

Wearing....this New Day cross body bag from Target.  I have been looking for the perfect cross body bag forever and finally found one at Target that I love.  It looks like my color is sold out on line but is still available in stores.  I added the sweet elephant tassel to personalize it.

{Entire outfit thrifted, except the boots}

Reading....If you love letter boards like I do, you should be following Letterfolk on Instagram.

Eating...this TTLA sandwich from Whole Foods.  If you haven't heard about the vegan tempeh bacon, tomato, lettuce and avocado sandwich that's been trending at Whole Foods, you can read all about it here. I highly recommend watching the video featured in the article that went viral and made the sandwich famous, spawning the #TTLAChallenge. Mine didn't come on the normal ciabatta bread because my WF was out of it but it was super delicious on the seeded roll.
#TTLAChallenge accomplished!

{Travel} Brooklyn with The Birthday Girl

We went to Brooklyn to celebrate City Girl's birthday.
The last time we drove into the city(when we helped her move) was not fun, but driving into Brooklyn was so much nicer, even in the rain.
We picked her up and headed to Champs Diner for brunch. There was a 45 minute wait so we walked around East Williamsburg for a little bit. We got coffee at City of Saints.
This street has so many cool murals.
I used my phone because I didn't want to get my good camera wet.
 Parent selfie.

We walked back to the restaurant and I had a text that our table was ready (less than 45 minutes for sure!)
Champs is an all vegan diner so the menu was overwhelming. We started with some spicy cauliflower wings.
Mozzerella sticks...what??!!  Hubs got the tater tots.
Miss High School got this amazing sandwich --Country Fried Seitan on Texas toast.
 City Girl got the burger.
I was really craving pancakes so I got the Vegan Slam.  Hubs got the chili but I didn't get a picture of it. It was all delicious!
We were all stuffed but had to try one of their milkshakes so a birthday cake milkshake seemed appropriate.
We drove by her new apartment and then did some shopping.  I was checking out some glasses at Warby Parker.
This tea shop had beautiful teapots and cups.  The weather could have been nicer but at least it wasn't cold.
I can't wait to go back to Brooklyn and explore some more!

Trader Joe's Finds

Every time I go to Trader Joe's, I see something new and I want to try everything!
I am giving their beauty products a go.  The toner has a nice, light rose scent and the serum makes me feel like I'm doing something really good for my face!
I've mentioned this corn in a few posts but I don't know if I've highlighted it. I usually buy two bags of it every time I go to TJ's.  It's so good in stir fries, chili, soup and burrito bowls!
 Just so good!
I found this Carrot Miso Dressing right next to my beloved Almond Butter Turmeric one. This is tasty too!
Vegan Green Tea Matcha?! It's made with coconut milk and tastes light and creamy!
Have you found any new products at Trader Joe's lately?
