{DIY} Make Your Own Taco Seasoning

I'm never going back to store bought taco seasoning after trying this recipe.
 It's easy to mix it up yourself with spices you probably already have in your spice rack.
Mix the following spices together and store in an air tight container.  
Use 1-2 tablespoons per pound of protein of your choice along with 1/2-3/4 cups of water.  Simmer on medium heat until most of the liquid is absorbed.
Great for fajitas too!

Pinned this too! I've got everything on hand...and we are having tacos for dinner soon (I just bought a ton of taco shells...so we will be having tacos a few times, because there are so many shells in the box!) I can't wait to try out this seasoning!

This is the absolutely BEST idea!

I'm going to do this and put them in those teensy Ziploc baggies.

I may even get crazy and research other seasoning mixes like the Italian dressing mix in a packet. It would be so easy to have them around!

This is so awesome! I always just buy those packets at the store because I've never thought to make my own. I already have everything but the cumin. :) How easy!
