When I saw this idea on Pinterest I knew I had to try them. I also had a big bottle of chocolate flavored vodka in the closet collecting dust. (Bought it for a cocktail but haven't used it since, it was a Tootsie Roll in case you're wondering and it's Diet Coke + chocolate vodka). I'm more of a wine girl.
So here's what you'll need. Strawberries & chocolate vodka (I used Three Olives brand).
Wash and dry your strawberries then soak in the chocolate vodka in an air tight container in the refrigerator over night.
I wasn't sure how much vodka to use so I filled up the container about half way and then kept rotating the container in the fridge so they'd all get nice and vodka soaked.
Remove them from the vodka and pat to dry then dip in your favorite dipping chocolate.
I used chocolate chips. I also discarded the vodka though I'm sure it would have made a nice chocolate covered strawberry martini.
I served them along with un-soaked strawberries and bananas dipped in chocolate but made sure to keep them separate.
We really couldn't taste the vodka too much but they sure were potent!

I'll be right over :)
Oh wow! Those look really good! I also think the Tootsie Roll cocktail sounds amazing. I don't love a lot of liquors, but I do like vodka!
The chocolate dipped bananas look great too! Fruit is just so much better when dipped in chocolate!
