Whirlwind College Visit

A few weeks ago we squeezed in a quick visit to our daughter at college.
It wasn't family weekend or anything official like that, we just had to wanted to see her.
The drive up was pleasant, it was just starting to change over to fall foliage.
We had a great view from our hotel window.

Our daughter took us on a campus tour (which we had done a few times before but it was great to get it from her perspective.)
This library really wowed us but we had to be quiet so I just snapped a quick photo as quietly as I could.
 Pretty overlook.
  Old archways...and cool thrift shops.

I can't wait to go back to this place!

We went out for pizza and the kitchen was upstairs so the pizza traveled down in this dumb waiter.
 Me, relaxing in the hotel.
The next morning she took us to a local bagel joint.
We passed this waterfall on the way. was overwhelming!
We managed to (finally) order and enjoy our breakfast outside.
Where ever you looked, pretty views!!
We visited a local farmer's market which was fabulous.
Of course I took lots of photos of flowers.
I really liked these mittens. They were all made out of recycled sweaters.
The selection of produce was astounding!

 There was even some entertainment.
 More flowers...
But before we knew it, it was time to say good bye and let her get back to her studies.
It was way too short of a visit but she'll be home this weekend!
I'll leave you with these striking windmills that we passed on our way home.

Looks you had a great visit! Love all the pictures. Ooh...the thrift store would have been my kind of place but that farmers market looks real inviting too! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

This looks like an awesome visit!

The library is gorgeous! As are the views from the campus. She is so lucky to go to such a pretty school!

The dumb waiter for the pizza is so cool! What a fun quirk for the restaurant!
