{TBB Asks} July-Vacation Edition Vacation

It's that time again-they ask, we answer and this month is all about vacations!

1. Will you go on a a summer vacation this year?
We've already been to DC and Boston (blog post coming soon!) and are planning a trip to Europe this fall so no major summer vacation plans. Hopefully we'll have some fun beachy day trips.  I'm dreaming about going back to this place though...
2. Do nothing but relax or a pack it all in vacation? We've done both but we're usually the pack it all in types.
{European Vacation Starts Here}
I like to think we're the nothing but relax types too. Working on that!
3. What month do you like to vacation? Is this a trick question? Every/Any month!
4. Cruise: YES or NO? Never been on a real one, does this sunset cruise count?
5. Favorite vacation tradition? Taking too many lots of pictures.
6. Most memorable vacation? Ireland, for sure!
{Ireland}
This one was pretty memorable too.
{Vow Renewal in La Jolla}
7. Pack light or Pack it all? I try and pack efficiently and not overpack.
8. Hotel, Condo or House? Yes, yes and yes!
9. Favorite thing(s) to eat on vacation?  Discovering great vegan eats!

10. Warm or Cold Destinations. I'll go anywhere in any weather!

  • What is your favorite vacation spot?
  • Do you have any summer vacation plans?
You can join in on the fun, see the link below!

Heather, I am so jealous you are getting to go to Europe but in all sincerity, I am so glad you have that opportunity. How totally awesome! Do things while you can Heather Lou. Life is so short. Now I must answer your questions:
1: Summer vacation for us will be my family 7 days beach trip. Marty and I try and slip away by ourselves for a short vacay which we did three days on beach but the family one coming up the end of July will be with my daughters and their spouses and our grands. 14 of us!
2: Summer vacations at the beach is pretty much a relaxation time for us.
3: Any month!
4: I have cruised once many years ago and I loved it. Marty not so much. However, I would love to cruise again and hope too. Maybe he will like it next time.
5: At the beach we crab hunt at night. It is so much fun to hear the kids laugh, scream and giggle. The kids and most of the grownups catch the crabs, put them in a bucket and then as we leave we turn them out to scatter and that means we all scatter. It is a hoot!
6: Too many to name to be honest. But one that comes to mind was many years ago when Marty and I went back to the mountains after our kids were grown and gone from home. I remember us honestly not knowing what to do without kids and we were so exhausted at that time of our life (working and raising youngins) that we honestly sat in PJ's one day all day and watched TV! Is that crazy! That was the turning point for us though on....there is life after children. LOL!
7: Depends on how long I will be gone.
8: All three
9: Seafood
10: Both

So glad I could tag along today. Hugs and blessings and Happy 4th.

Aww, what lovely places to visit Heather. I really wish we could travel more. Nothing much planned for the Summer here as we now have to think about where we can find gluten-free food for my Daughter. Thanks for sharing at Creative Mondays :) Hope you can join us today.

We just got back from Sardinia and it was lovely! Ready to go home to Georgia though! It is raining here in Germany and the kids are going crazy sitting in the apartment all day long.
