I'll Take a Half Day in Philly

I was asked to help distribute Cheeriodicals-get well gifts- to kids at CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) a few weeks ago.
I jumped at the chance to help out and spend a little time in Philly.
I got to the hospital before the rest of the team so I had a little coffee in the cafe while I was waiting.

Once the truck arrived with the boxes of Cheeriodicals, we started to unload them. There was one for every child in the hospital. The boxes had been packed by a donor company and each one was labeled with a gift tag indicating the gender and age range of the child.
We weren't allowed to take photos once we were up on the hospital floors but their marketing team snapped this one of us for their website.  The nurses were all so nice and helpful.

They gave us all huge cups of water with that awesome crushed ice(the only thing I like about hospitals!) We only got to deliver goodie boxes to one floor of kids so we finished early.
That meant I had time to get lunch at one of my favorite spots in the city.  I tried a vegan blt with tempeh bacon at OCF Coffee House.  This is the same place we went when we toured Eastern State Penitentiary in the spring.
I needed a little more caffeine as I was leaving and grabbed an oat milk cappuccino to go.
Look at that pretty foam art!  If you're dairy free or just want to try something new, the barista blend oat milk is so rich and creamy!
